MQ-200 Quantum Light Meter






Quantum refers to the amount of energy

carried by a photon. apogee quantum meters

approximate the quantity of photon js between

400 and 700 nanometers.

Photosynthesis is largely driven by

the number of photons between these

wave lengths, so this radiation is

called the photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF）

and is measured in μmol m-2　s-1 .

The Basic Quantum Meter is used to determine

the amount of light that plants use.


It accurately estimates radiation in the

400 - 700nm range, which is the specific

range of light used by plants.



Easy to use:

You only --just turn it on, hold it at eye level

(with the sensor surface on top horizontal) and

read the values.

The sensor is cosine corrected for operation in

sunny or cloudy weather and at high noon or when

the sun is lower in the sky.



The Basic Quantum Meter reads solar radiation of

0 - 1999 µmol m2 s1 (0 - 10,000 foot candles).

It has a standard operating range of 32 - 122°F

with less than 80% relative humidity from 32 - 86°F

and less than 70% relative humidity from 86 - 122°F.

It runs on one 9V battery (included).
