Thanks for looking. A mysterious item was in home folder and was being read while leaving trash, but not when leaving other subdirectories. Moving out of a hidden folder will travel more than one level up here.

:) Hello !

• I already reported a case of non-working Recent Files items HERE
- It's from the View mode (I open MP like this from the TC tool-bar for the selected file in TC).

  1. Tools » Settings... » General » General » Startup » Startup directory: (•) None
  2. XnViewMP starts in the Windows Workspace.
  3. The toolbar button for Open is not grayed out :bug:
  4. If the toolbar button or Tools » Open (Ctrl+O) is clicked, XnView crashes.

Congratulations for the implementation of the EXIFTOOL Pan, especially for the Composites data !
I can now have access via XnView to my own composites data from my custom .ExifTool_config file.

when we export JPG file as PNG or TIF file, I think that metadata should be kept, in peculiar XMP and ICC profile.

If we export a JPG file containing ICC, XMP, IPTC and exif metadata :
- Exported Tif file contains only Exif and IPTC metadata
- exported PNG file contains no metadata.

As metadata management seems tricky, I am not sure of what should be kept but I think XMP metadata must remain in TIF and PNG file.

Can you confirm this point ?
André

Est-ce le même problème qui a été résolu dans MP 0.25 ?

Folders can't be moved or deleted anymore.
F5 and del is disabled, while F2 even if it is disabled in the menu does work

Interesting, I checked the same place where I checked before. While the first try it was written: "Dual screen, use second monitor (browser only)" and the fullscreen showed on the laptop's internal LCD even when I opened the browser on the second screen, NOW, one minute later, I have "Dual screen, use second monitor (Browser & slideshow). The only thing I did in the meantime was switching from german to english interface. NOW the fullscreen starts on the screen where the browser window is located, which is the expected behaviour.

Coming back to the original question: yes in fullscreen mode on the second monitor I also have the artefacts.

It does work perfectly. What got me in the beginning though is that you have to push the "resize"/"adjust"/etc.. button, not the "ok" button in the task bar, that just closes the dialog.

JohnFredC wrote:...If MP reads ExifTool configs, how does the user assign such a config to the ExifTool tab? ...put a config file in the Add-On folder with ExifTool.exe itself?

If I am right (it was like that in the past, now I not sure), I am afraid that it is only possible under Linux and with the Exiftool Perl version ( not the stand alone Windows ExifTool.exe version - & located for example under the Linux directory /home/$USER/.ExifTool_config (my case) ) by configuring and using the ".ExifTool_config" file ( .* name file is not allowed in windows)

Edit: I have just seen an new option (for me), so maybe it's now possible to use this file under windows and the stand alone Windows ExifTool.exe version
Code: Select all
exiftool -config ExifTool_config

I guess than Pierre has the answer ?
