Guys, it's with great pleasure that I can finally introduce you to the Kaboodle Kits.  Months in the making, Kaboodle Kits are now the places where you can find out what's hot around Kaboodle and the world out there.  That does mean that this blog as you know it will cease to be updated with fab finds.  Never fear, though - I and my fellow editors, Jennifer and Kristi, will keep you up to date on the latest and greatest in fashion, beauty, home, gadgets, and the Kaboodle community in the following Kits...

Kit-bg-posh

The Posh Kit is your one stop location for all that's hot in fashion.   Yours truly (hi, I'm Cristina!) is the editor of this Kit.

Kit-bg-gloss

The Gloss Kit is your destination for all things beauty.  From skincare to haircare and everything in between, Jennifer has you covered.

Kit-bg-home

Jennifer also has all the best stuff for your home and garden in our Dwell Kit.

Kit-bg-gizmo

The Gizmo Kit is where I'll bring you the latest tech gadgetry as well as those wacky gizmos that Kaboodlers have come to know and love.

Kit-bg-buzz2

And last, but certainly not least, the Buzz Kit is where our fantastic community manager Kristi will keep you in the know as to everything awesome that's happening in the Kaboodle community.

Just like you could with this blog, you can add the feeds of each of the Kits to your RSS readers and if you're a Kaboodle member (and why wouldn't you be?!) you can get the latest and greatest right in your Activity Feed!

You guys, we're so excited about the Kits and we hope you'll love them as much as we do!  It's been a fun ride overe here on the Kaboodle blog, and I'm so happy to continue, alongside Jennifer and Kristi, in the Kaboodle Kits.  See you there!

No longer will you have to rely on your iPhone or Blackberry to instantly send photos and video to your Photobucket stream, YouTube, or your friends.  The just-announced Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-G3 is WiFi-enabled and allows you to instantly send photos and video directly to a number of various sharing sites.  However, it seems as though Flickr and Facebook are not listed among the compatible services, potentially making this camera less than ideal for many, many people.  That's a shame.  Some sort of bulit-in browser might've been a better way to go.  Still, a very cool idea.  $499.

Kaboodle

Apologies, but we have some boring behind-the-scenes business to take care of.  We're making a couple improvements for you to look forward to.  :)  We'll be taking the site down for a couple hours tonight, starting at 10:00 PM Pacific Time. The anticipated downtime is probably going to be about 2-4 hours, which should put us back online a sometime between midnight and 2am Pacific Time.

Until we're back up, check out the archives and some of my personal favorite recent items that have been featured here in the blog...

Fab Finds: Darth Vader Toaster

Glowgraffitimain

AddtoK

This glow-in-the-dark spray paint is awesome!  The kit comes with a good-sized canvas, letter stencils, and the can of paint, which features an LED light near the nozzle, which charges the .  For a mere $59 you can create your own piece of glow-in-the-dark artwork.  Since it's not really paint in the proper sense, the lettering will fade over time, allowing you to reuse the canvas to create an all new glowing message.

Umbraclock
AddtoK

It's seriously hard not to love Target when they team up with brands like Umbra to create awesome lower-priced collections for the store.  I popped in to Target briefly yesterday to buy some drain cleaner for my mother and saw this rockin' clock as soon as I walked in the door.  There was a similar clock floating around Kaboodle last year for quite a bit more than the $79 this one costs.  I like it because, like welsee said in the comments, "it looks like something you might find on Disneyland's The Haunted Mansion ride."  Indeed it does, and that is awesome.  I had my hands full of other stuff or I might have stood in front of it longer, trying to think of an empty wall in my apartment to accommodate it.

Beatles-monopoly
AddtoK

Pretty much everyone loves The Beatles.  They're music legends.  And Monopoloy is, obviously, a classic board game.  Both have been combined into this fun Beatles version of Monopoly.  The pieces are based on various Beatles songs (Strawberry Fields, Rocky Raccoon, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, etc.) and all the stops along the board are Beatle-centric as well and the game is cusomizable so you can put your favorite albums in the high-value spaces.  Very fun.  Around $30.

Giantgummibear

AddtoK

What, I ask you, could be better than gummi bears?  How about a giant gummi bear...on a stick.  Oh, yes!  It is with great pleasure that I present the giant gummi bear on a stick available from Vat19.  It comes in blue, red, and green (my personal favorite) versions and is the equilivant of 88 tiny gummi bears.  All this can be yours for $10 each.

Starwarstoaster
AddtoK

Have you ever felt as though your toast was missing something.  Maybe you couldn't quite put your finger on it, but you knew something more could come from that little piece of bread.  Well, look no further.  No longer will your toast be inferior - You toast will now be full of the dark power or Darth Vader.  For a mere $54.99, the Star Wars toaster can leave the toasty imprint of the Sith lord on each and every piece of bread you place inside.  BLTs never tasted so good...or evil.

Check out this great Blogazine post from Kaboodler angelabc (who also happens to be one of our awesome Kaboodle Product Managers!).

Blogazinesadvent

Presents are great. But more presents are even better. I think that's what makes an advent calendar such a gleeful experience. For the uninitiated, it's a box with 24 tiny numbered compartments, each holding a little surprise. Starting on December 1st you open one each day in a build-up to Santa's main event. Sure, each present waiting for you behind the little door is small, but with your expectations properly sized even a waxy-tasting chocolate snowman is a big treat.  See the full entry >>

Maxstudiodress

AddtoK

One of our delightful A-List Kaboodlers, maxandevelyn added this Max Studio shift dress to Kaboodle back in October.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it.  Fast-forward to this week and I still don't have it.  (Holiday time is a busy time here at Kaboodle HQ.)  I saw it pop up in my recent activity feed and immediately called the local Max Studio store to see if it was in stock.  Indeed it was and so I ran down after work and picked it up.  I also got the blouse pictured in the photo above.  I'm wearing it today and the compliments have been rolling in since I got to the office.  It has all sorts of great seaming details and I'm in love with the neckline.  An excellent purchase, if I do say so myself.

R2d2fishtank
AddtoK

There are items I stumble across on Kaboodle that leave me staring at my monitor for a few seconds sort of scratching my head.  "Hmm," I say to myself, "that sure is...interesting."  This R2-D2 aquarium is one such item  I mean, R2-D2 is pretty cool, fishtanks are pretty cool, but is a combo of the two cool?  Let's see - He has a built-in periscope so you can check out what your fish are up to from above.  OK, kind of cool, though you could probably just look in the window.  The tank has LED lights that switch from red to blue to green.  OK, I'm all about LED lightshows, so that's cool.  He also beeps R2-D2 sounds.  Can't argue with that.  So, the final verdict is mixed, but I'm nonetheless well impressed that this exists in the first place.  Thanks, Hammacher Schlemmer.

Blogazinesladydanger

I just wanted to show everyone the new lipstick that I bought today. I have been looking everywhere for the perfect red. This is Lady Danger from Mac. I think I found a new staple. I love red lipstick, it has been so long since I have worn any. I love how red lipstick makes me feel glamourous in a second, what other product can make you feel like a star that fast? None. Or maybe there is a product that makes you feel that way? Please share!  See the full entry and let her know what you think! >>

Eduardo

AddtoK

For whatever reason, moustaches and moustache-related items have become quite popular on Kaboodle.  I'm a fan too and even I can't explain it.  Nostalgia for the days when moustaches were all the rage?  Novelty?  I'm not sure.  Kaboodler nocreativity's Ode to Tom Selleck list full of 'stache related items is one of the most popular on the site.  It's where I discovered Eduardo the Purse the other day.  Oh, Eduardo.  For a mere $12, this purse became mine.  Etsy sellers rock!

I walked into the Kate Spade store yesterday and fell in love.  I fell in love with this clutch from her Sullivan Street collection.  Oh, golly!  It's sizeable (it comes with a shoulder strap as well and is shoulder bag-sized) and adorable and all things wonderful.  Unfortunately, it's $395, but I think I'm going to have to get it anyway.  It's calling my name.  Can't you hear it?  Cristina...Buy me...
