Job Purpose
The Retail Merchandiser (RM) is responsible for merchandising Client products at retail accounts within an assigned territory to ensure Client standards are met and volume is increased.
Job Responsibilities
Distribution: will work to meet Client and Company objectives by maintaining full distribution on existing SKUs.
Customer Relations: must have the ability to communicate effectively both internally to ASM management and externally with Customers
Sales and Merchandising: will maintain Client objectives by ensuring secondary placements of product(s) are fully stocked, correctly signed, properly faced, and set to schematics.
New Items: will work on the achievement of business objectives through placement of new items at all assigned stores.
Reset Activity and Schematics Completion: must be able to maintain schematic standards by ensuring all authorized items are in distribution and set to shelf standards. Must be able to maintain schematic integrity through consistent communication with District Manager and other retail personnel.
Shelf Standards and Conditions: will work on the authorization of items to meet Client shelf schematic standards. Must be able to take direction regarding tagging, rotating, and placing POS materials for products on shelf.
Administration/Reporting: will complete accurate and timely paperwork and reports, recaps, itineraries, timesheets, expense reports, etc.

General Job Description:
-Ensure that our clients image is represented correctly; a professional appearance is required at all times. This individual must be highly organized and must be able to independently manage their account base.
-Cover a geographic territory, specific to the market, on a weekly basis. This will require limited travel.
-Tasks may include: new item cut-ins, pop placement, audits, surveys, rack or display assembly, schematic/pog compliance, section resets.
-Maintain regular contact with Field Supervisor through phone calls, conference calls, regular mailings, and field reporting.
-Comply with all program requests.
Qualifications and Experience
1-2 years of prior Merchandising or Retailer experience required
Must have a computer with internet/web access and the ability to send and receive email attachments.
Must have digital camera and ability to upload photos (training provided if needed)
Reliable Transportation and insurance required
Background check and drug testing mandatory

* Check date codes, schematic integrity, replacing decals/re-order tags or ads and placing point of purchase material
* Maintain merchandising excellence and build customer good will on reset projects
* Report observations to Area Manager on out-dated product and unclaimed stock
* Responsible for special reset projects and may transport on-site delivery of all materials, supplies and equipment
* Receive and report work through a web based application Follow company policy and utilize safety techniques in execution of reset teamwork

* Prior food broker, retail and reset responsibility experience is helpful
* Must be able to lift 40+ pounds
