Amit Agarwal from Digital Inspiration has just launched a new twitter mashup, SleepingTime.org. This application determines the sleeping time of any person having a twitter account. It works by analysing the tweet timings of the twitter account. No matter if the person is a celebrity or your friend, if he/she does have a twitter account this application works on him.This application may not be so perfect as some people use automatic tweeting services such as twitterfeed, etc. which keeps tweeting for them even when the person is asleep. But on a rough calculation basis, this application generated quite surprising and relevant results during my hands-on, however this application will not work if the person has protected their tweets. This is very new and good concept but we have no idea how the crime men will make use of such applications. There has been already some issues of crime, where bad guys determined the house was empty using there Facebook and Twitter accounts to make their way comfortable for the robbery.

After the most recent rumour of iPhone 3GS launch in India, some official words have finally appeared from Airtel. Airtel has confirmed the launch of Apple iPhone 3GS soon in India.

Airtel iPhone 3GS page is now up at the Airtel’s site, though the Airtel homepage still has no links to it. The page gives just the confirmation of the launch but no words on price or launch date has yet been up at the site. However due to the reaction of people/geeks all over the country, everyone is in a doubt whether this time it would be a success to launch iPhone 3GS so late in India?

Other operators are still silent. The last rumour pointed that 2 new cellular operators, i.e. Aircel and Reliance Mobile will join the company of Airtel and Vodafone.

Few details have emerged regarding the specifications and pricing of NVIDIA Fermi GPUs, expected to be unveiled next week. These graphic cards are based on the new Fermi architecture, the cheaper NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 sports 446 shader processors, 320 bit memory interface and consume around 225W at full load, whereas GeForce GTX 480 is said to provide 480 shader processors, 384 bit memory interface, clock speed of 700MHz and will consume 295W at full load , it also has onboard 1.5 GB GDDR5 RAM. Google has partnered with Intel, Sony and Logitech to bring a set-top box named Google TV based on Android platform, featuring Intel Atom processor that will let you enjoy the web apps like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other similar sites  just by changing channels, Google TV will also feature a version of Chrome browser developed specifically for the device for surfing web. The Android based Google TV software will be open source for software developers, which means more creative applications for your TV.

The development toolkit for Google TV is expected to become available within next few months, you could also expect TVs from Sony with built in Google TV as well as standalone Google TV hardware, on the other hand Logitech is said to be working on a keyboard based remote control for the device.

The price of Google TV is not available as of now officially, but we expect it to be in the range of cheapest Atom based devices, $150 will be the sweet spot though, however the price will depend heavily on final features and specifications.

Using the voice activation technology, the quad rotor helicopter will respond to  natural language and will follow directions as per your voice commands. The project is named something like this “Natural Language Command of an Autonomous Micro Air Vehicle”. It accepts the voice commands through iPhone which is translated to machine language via software in laptop which then gives flying directions to quad rotor helicopter. Video after the break.

When the world is getting ready for the Apple’s next generation of iPhone i.e. iPhone 4G, India will be witnessing the 3GS almost an year later after its launch. After several rumors about iPhone 3GS launch in India, another one adds to the list.

As per the rumors the iPhone will be offered with 4 operators, namely -Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Reliance Mobile. Aircel and Reliance Mobile are the new players to offer iPhone but sadly none of these operators currently offer 3G. BSNL/MTNL does have 3G services but are out of the game this time.

India is gathering attention of major mobile players for smart-phone market but Apple seems to be very lenient about it. This race creates a great vacuum for grey marketing of smart phones shipping into to India. No information about the iPhone 3GS price is currently available but it is expected to be around 30,000 INR. Spending this amount of money for an outdated phone will make no sense, when other powerful phones such as Nexus One (Mini version for India) & HTC Desire are going to be launched soon.

The phone will come locked with a contract for one or two years which can be officially unlocked after that period. But is it really worth to buy iPhone 3GS at a time when iPhone 4G is about to hit other parts of world? Share your thoughts in comments.

A new trailer of Gran Turismo 5 has been surfaced, showing the teaser footage of night racing feature in GT5. Martin Jetpack is built of carbon fibre chassis with two giant air propeller fans strapped to your body, it uses premium gasoline as fuel and is driven by a two litre V4 2-stroke engine. Safety systems have also been equipped smartly, for ex. in case of Jetpack going down and crash is imminent, you can simply deploy a ballistic parachute with a press of a button, that will let you and your Jetpack land safely. There is no license required to fly the Jetpack, however, completion of compulsory training program  developed by the Martin Aircraft company is required.

Technology behind JetLev

Though it looks simple in a video, the tech behind is much more complex, as it uses water as a jet propulsion medium and for direction balancing, thrust control  it uses different nozzle angles. The flexible hose has the main function as it delivers high pressurized water to the JetLev for flying, it also acts as a stabilizer.

JetLev is primarily meant for watersport and entertainment, however you can order one if you want.
