I created a web site, well I actually hired an engineer to do it, It's working right now, but I haven't launched it officially yet cause I'm stuck, first of all because it still needs some designing and templates, I bought the domain name in godaddy.com, but I haven't registered the logo or the name, and I'm also afraid that someone could steal my idea. Where can I get help to solve this? Thanks

Yes I know I have posted this before but I have gone back and have done a ton of editing! Enjoy! “What?! Aria you can’t chicken out now! You promised you would go this Halloween!” Kyra whined as she shoved Aria towards the haunted castle, that supposedly was being guarded by a vampire. The shutters were draped in old cobwebs and ivy had been creeping up the walls. The plant seemed to be trying to crush the building and make more room for more of the destructive vine. “Fine, fine! Get off of me!” She flailed her arms at Kyra and ran up the steps to the vampire’s castle. A musty smell lingered in the air and caused her to wrinkle her nose. Aria slowed to a walk as she reached the door. “H-hello?” She squeaked and pulled open the rotting wooden door. As soon as she had taken a step in, it slammed shut behind her. Aria screamed and swiveled around to see what caused it. There was nothing there, she realized. Her hands traced the elegant design carved into the old redwood door. When she remembered her objective, she took a deep breath and ventured deeper into the supposed haunted mansion. Several ancient looking paintings seemed to follow her with their dull eyes as if to say ‘You don’t belong here…’ The house still held signs that it was once a beautiful mansion, still trapped in the past. Elegant lace curtains hung from the windows. There were tears and stains from years of aging and God knows what nibbling at the lovely pattern. A gleam caught her eye and she turned to see what it might be. A golden chandelier hung from the water stained ceiling. Although covered in dust, the metal seemed to continue attempting to shine. Candle wax had dribbled down the candles and almost covered the entire chandelier! There was a long dining table that was set with beautiful silverware and expensive china tableware. It seemed that the past owners of the home just got up and left, not bothering with anything. Aria turned on her heel and quickly walked out of the room. She had felt as if she was being watched… A long plush carpet lined the hallways that Aria walked across. A rat dashed across her path but she paid no mind to it and continued exploring the house. She came upon a broken mirror that caused her reflection to be warped from the many cracks and missing pieces. Aria reached her hand out to gently touch the mirror. It suddenly shattered, showering her with a rain of broken glass. She held her arms up and looked away. “Kyaaah!” She cried out as the slivers of the razor sharp mirror pierced her skin. Aria limped away as quickly as she could and sat down to clean her wound. Once she had made sure her arm was clear of any shards of glass she rest her head against the wall and sighed. She looked around to examine the unfamiliar room. Two beds were against two walls and a tall bookshelf stood between. It was impossible for Aria to grab a book without her hand being covered in old webs. She brushed her hands off on her jeans. There was a child sized porcine doll leaning against the wallpaper and a few toy trains scattered about. After a while Aria’s curiosity grew to the point that her fear almost vanished. Aria then passed a corridor that made her shiver. The torture chamber. She could almost hear the crying screams of agony echoing in the small space. Shackles hung from the ceiling and a iron maiden leaned against the grey brick wall. She looked around a little more and felt her stomach turn when she saw ‘The Rack’ She had always been a horror fan and had to admit that this particular room interested her a little bit. Aria knew the name of each medieval torture device and exactly how they worked. Suddenly, she thought of men, women, and children suffering. Arms and legs tied to the rack to be stretched out until the spine snapped, having a innocent heart impaled by the spikes of the blood thirsty maiden, or being stripped naked and whipped repeatedly until the persom looked to be wearing a red cape. She closed her eyes and ran forward blindly. Her breath was the only thing she could hear as she tried to escape. it’s only one night, it’s only one night! She thought. Aria felt a sharp pain in her gut as she skidded along the ground on her stomach, causing a deep gash to cut through her thigh. She cried out in pain and sat up, clutching her leg. She blinked and tilted her head at the strange item she had slid across. A coffin! Aria thought, this… This is it! she gasped and out of her own curiosity, she pushed back the lid. Inside lay a beautiful boy, he didn’t look much older then herself. His silver hair framed his pale face and his bangs covered one eye. His lips were slightly flushed with a bit of color. She watched in amazement as his chest rose and fell with each breath. The boy was wearing a Victorian style suit with a midnight black cloak. It’s strange to call a man this but… He’s beautiful. What are his dreams like? And what color are the eyes that see them? She wondered. W

i am XP user

I'm working with clients that expect the world, but they don't want to pay for it. So I got frustrated and "borrowed" a few ideas from stuff I found on the web that I know they'd like, just to get them out of my face. After I cooled down, I realized that more people probably do this than i realized. Is it true? is it easier to be inspired by just taking the essentials of other people's designs and using them for your own purpose??? have you done this before?

I am building a website for my cousins vacation rental business in Argentina. I know some or most html and am willing to learn CSS. I just need to get the software to build a good website that I can make look professional. I have utorrent and have been trying to find a torrent that works for dreamweaver. I already have photoshop cs4 to use. If I can't get someone to help me find a torrent for dreamweaver then I am willing to use another program that is suitable for the website I need to build. I want to be able to add many services like using paypal, online booking, and language selection. I also need a very impressive photo gallery and flash.. etc. I am using a PC with windows vista. Any help or pointers on where to find a software would be so very much appreciated I have not done this since High school so its been over half a decade but I am ready to get back into the web design business again for my enjoyment and employment :)

So in a matter of months I will be starting a website design program and I was wondering which if I should go with the MacBook or a PC. Apples are overatted and expensive in my opinon but have features that are helpfull, But like I said before they are quite expensive. Which laptop brands are suitable for the program i will be going into?

So here's the situation, I used to be in an IB program at my old school, but then DeVry offered to let me take high school classes and university classes to work towards an associates degree in web-graphic design for free. Now, I know that is a good opportunity, but I went there with a mild liking for web-graphic design, hoping I'd like it more by taking the classes. However, now that I've been there, I don't like it at all, and now I don't even know what I'm doing here. Also, the high school classes aren't on the same level(not by miles) as the IB classes. So basically, I want to go back to my old school(I already talked to some people and It's guranteed that I can go back) and continue the IB program for these last two years, but so many people at DeVry are influencing my decisons!! Now, I've no idea what to do. Please help me. =/

My website ( Unionwill.co.uk ) is NOT a complicated design - as you can see; but things will look different on most browsers. IE being the worst obviously as the monster born by Microsoft to quell competition. What is wrong with the designers of these browsers? Do they disagree on what should be the standard? Are they just stupid? My conclusion is this; 1) They don't care 2) They are selfish 3) They are kinda stupid as they don't think it's important 4) In a world where their company dominates, which is their dream anyway, a web standard wouldn't matter as it would just be them. 5) They're selfish again As a web designer would I have to learn all the discrepancies between browsers, learn all the hacks and bug fixes for different styles, and turn something that I thought would be the simple side of web development ( positioning of stuff etc ), into something monstrously frustrating and difficult?

I want to make a site similar in design to gametalk.com, but not about games. Anyway I don't have any experience with making sites and want to know how to learn how. I would need there to be many forums and solid security for users. Basically I want a pretty big site. Where do I start?

Im 16 years old and one of my friends is fairly tech savvy (mostly because he just watched a bunch of tutorial video's) and now is creating websites for small businesses at home from his mac and charging about 500$ a piece. I have no problem learning how to do something such as this, but i don't want to copy him or try to steal any of his business. What is a job like this that i can do from home as an intelligent 16 year old?

I am working on a website and I am a bit of an amateur. But I have self taught myself many other programs. I am wanting to learn more about web design. I am wanting to have a very simple website and the main feature is a comment box in the middle of the screen, anyone can type in this box and press "post". I want their post to be updated live underneath the "post box" and any other posts after will be listed as well. What programs do I use? I currently have dream weaver but am willing to buy other programs. And what coding method would work best? Java, HTML, ect.... Thanks!
