If Brady Quinn doesn't work out for the Broncos, it will be a low risk trade for the team.
But if Quinn can regain the form that made him a first-round pick, Denver might have cheaply found its quarterback of the future. The Broncos sent running back Peyton Hillis, a 2010 sixth-round pick and a conditional 2011 pick to Cleveland for Quinn. Hillis was Denver's leading rusher in 2008 but was never in the plans of the current coaching staff. He got only 16 carries last season.
In Quinn, Denver gets a quarterback who might have just needed a fresh start.
"That's all behind me," Quinn said about Cleveland. "It's a great opportunity here in Denver."
The Broncos already have a quarterback, Kyle Orton, but he doesn't fit the classic mold of a franchise quarterback.

The group of Denver Broncos players arrived at the Safari nightclub to celebrate New Year's Eve and was whisked inside by bouncers. One of the dozens of people waiting in line to get in -- an alleged Tre-Tre Crips gang member -- took exception. "We street," Willie Clark told wide receiver Brandon Marshall, according to court testimony.
