You've probably heard about the VB6 to VB.NET bridge announced lately. Well Israeli MVP Leon Langleyben has extended this to support C#. He also talks about the process.
Unfortunatlly we had to cancel the event for next week due to lack of bandwidth.
We have TechEd coming in 2 months and we simply didn't have enough bandwidth to deal as we intially thought.
It is starting to take more shape, this is a partial list for sessions that may be interested for devs.
2 Highlight sessions of the day:
Clemens Vasters is going to talk about Newtellivision.
Dennis Minium will talk about how we dogfood Team Foundation Server.

If you're looking for a fun job that involves deep technical content and seeing the the big pictures you might want to drop me a line.
you can read about it at: http://www.microsoft.com/israel/careers/jobs/120.mspx [Hebrew]
TechEd is coming upon us soon (9-11 may), I'm running the Dev Track, we're going to have about 40 sessions.
I was wondering about the things you would like to hear about taking into account that WINFX is not so far away, how much of it would you like to learn about?
Next week I'll post some sessions we we're thinking of + names of some stars from Redmond that we will host.
On the 2nd day of the tour, we're going to do something that was very successful with the c++ team. We're going to do an "upgrade your code" day with the dev team.
Basically customers will come with their computers and source code (So nothing will be on MS machines) and with the dev team from Microsoft they will upgrade to VS2003/2005 as they like.
It was very successful with the c++ team and gave us an opportunity to build a local set of key consultants that had actual experience with upgrading.
So if you think you have a very complex project on ASP or ASP.NET 1.x and would like to check the possibility of joining us, drop me an email thru this blog.
this is a sequel to my last entry.
One of the feedback we got is: " We want to see and hear the product group ". So next month (13th march) we'll host the ASP.NET team in Tel Aviv.
Current plan is Opening and Closing Keynotes + 2 tracks:
Track 1 (each 60 min.)
1. A Lap Around the New Enhancements for Web Developers in Visual Studio 2005
2. Best Practices and Techniques for Migrating ASP Classic Applications to ASP.NET 2.0
3. ASP.NET 2.0 - Master pages, themes, and site navigation
4. The ASP.NET 2.0 Data Controls
Track 2 More Advanced (each 60 min.)
1. A Look Inside Membership, Role Management, and Profiles in ASP.NET 2.0
2. Creating Dynamic Web Sites with ASP.NET 2.0 Web Parts
3. Tips and Tricks for ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005
4. Testing and Performance Tuning Web Applications with Visual Studio Team System
Last year we had the ASP.NET 2.0 tour this time we're getting the product group to come. You said it we do it.
Whos coming?
Andres Sanabria, Bradley Millington, Stefan Schackow and Matt Gibbs.
I'll post the link to the invitation by the end of this week.
Last evening we had a developer focus group, we wanted to know what should we do better for developers in Israel.
So we asked for a 3rd party company to interview a randomally chosen group of developers about various topics. It was kind of a dynamic group of people, we agreed with the interviewer about certain topics that we wanted to learn about and he basically took it from there.
At one point someone said that "Yosi Taguri might have been a technical person BUT now he is MARKETING" at some other point someone else said "Becuase he is MARKETING he no longer blogs".
so this post is just to say 1 main thing: I AM NOT MARKETING and I will never be.
I just needed to say that and get it off my chest ;)

Understand how features like extension methods, lambda expressions, type inference, and anonymous types make it possible to create powerful APIs for expressing queries and interacting with objects, XML, and databases in a strongly typed, natural way. It is suggested that you attend "The .NET Language Integrated Query Framework: An Overview" before attending this session.Session Type(s): BreakoutSession Level(s): 300Track(s): Tools & Languages
