Quake Live is a first-person shooter video game in development by id Software and announced in 2007. Focusing on the multiplayer aspect of the game, it succeeds its predecessor Quake III Arena as a “major league” first-person shooter eSports competition game. Quake Live is ad-supported, with levels containing prominently placed billboards. Quake Live is essentially a version of Quake 3 which can be played from within the web browser.

Sarah Siskind releases “Say it Louder” for free.
Sarah Siskind’s sixth release, her 2009 album “Say it Louder” is co-produced and engineered by Jason Lehning. The 13-song album narrates a journey through difficult trials, ultimately arriving at a renewed embrace of life. Union Station member Jerry Douglas contributed guitar licks to “Keep Me Alive.” Siskind also enlisted her longtime Old Black Kettle bandmates Julie Lee and Jody Seyfriend to sing harmonies, and her electric band to play on the recording.

Get the World of Goo soundtrack for free. The soundtrack is 49 minutes long, and consists of a rather awesome blend of digitally synthesized instruments.
Thank you to everyone who emailed asking about a World of Goo Soundtrack. This is probably as close to an “official” soundtrack I’ll ever make for the game World of Goo. I’m making it available here on my personal portfolio for free. I wrote much of this music specifically for the game, but many of the tracks were excerpts from music I had written previously for various small projects, or just for fun. This soundtrack includes the full versions of most of those songs, as best as I was able to recover them. Notes accompany the tracks below.
The majority of the instruments you’ll hear are computer instruments, with a few live performances on top to add a bit of warmth. For the older music, I used one of those Sound Blaster cards that let you load samples into memory. More recently, I’ve been using the freeware sfz soundfont sampler. I have an m-audio keystation 49e midi keyboard for picking out melodies. Influences include Danny Elfman, Vangelis, Bernard Herrmann, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, and all the big movie guys. I grew up listening to them, and they remain a big influence in everything I write.

Free download compilation ‘HOWLY NIGHT’
Sometimes it seems like you stand alone with a vision in your life. And sometimes two have the same without knowing each other. In case of afmusic and zorch factory records it is the promotion of talented newcomer bands basically from the gothic-, post-punk and new wave genre.
The more both got to know and estimate each other the clearer it became a logical consequence to work together. The consequence of this collaboration is the now available compilation ‘Howly Night’, which is much influenced by the name of x-mas and offered as free download.
23 more or less known bands with mainly previously unreleased tracks are on ‘Howly Night’. With the first track ‘Dead End’ from Dorcel the listener gets trapped into a wonderful melancholic world, which is mainly the undertone on all tracks of this compilation.
Besides already well known acts like The Search, Curious or Camp Z especially the new names are setting the highlights on this compilation. An example for this are ‘Ghost In The Snow’ from (((S))) and ‘Game’ from Notes From Underground. Everybody who likes the styles of music pointed in the beginning should see ‘Howly Night’ as a commendation. Music for cold winter days that warms heart and soul.

Eating Seats is a collective, producing sounds using acoustic, electric and electronic equipment. Musically they look about their own pleasure, but are also inspired by progressive rock, psychedelic rock and progressive metal, as well as classical music.
