BEAUMONT — The Port Neches-Groves Lady Indians circled Friday night on their calendar after the Ozen Lady Panthers left the reservation with a 3-2 decision in the first meeting, a match with tons of questionable calls from the officials.

With Tuesday's District 20-4A volleyball results, the playoff picture is rather clear as Nederland seperated itself from the pack to clinch the fourth and final playoff spot, having beat Livingston 3-1.

PORT NECHES —The Port Neches-Groves Lady Indians did not need their A-game for Tuesday night's District 20-4A volleyball matchup with the Livingston Lady Lions, which the Rock-A-Noos throttled in a 3-0 sweep.

BEAUMONT — The Nederland Lady Bulldogs went into Beaumont on Tuesday night needing to beat the 7-0 Ozen Lady Panthers. The Lady Bulldogs did just that, earning a 3-2 decision in the match and improved their record to 4-4 in league play and it dropped the Lady Panthers to 7-1.

Whatever Vidor coach Jeff Mathews said at halftime absolutely worked Friday night in Lumberton.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears secured first-place at the end of the first half of District 20-4A play by going on the road and defeating second-place Beaumont Ozen 25-10, 22-25, 25-18, 18-25, 15-11 Friday night at Panther Gym.

PORT NECHES — The Port Neches-Groves Lady Indians were not their best in Tuesday night's District 20-4A volleyball matchup against the Ozen Lady Panthers, who swept the Rock-A-Noos in three games.

Not looking ahead to their big showdown at Beaumont Ozen Friday, the defending District 20-4A champion Little Cypress-Mauriceville Lady Bears smashed the Lumberton Lady Raiders 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 at The Bear Cave Friday night to stay perfect for the District 20-4A season.
