I'm looking to get back into the game in the civilian sector (the National Guard plan is still in operation, but I have been "highly advised" to trim down a wee bit more before I sign my name on the dotted line...) I'm looking for work in the counter-terrorism/security field, and I'm hoping that those who frequent The Gun Line might have heard of opportunities I might explore. I'm a competent platform instructor. Given enough prep-time, I can instruct on any subject, but my specialties include small arms, communications, access/egress security protocols, facility and site infrastructure protection, and risk management mitigation in the field of security and protection (including personal protective measures when traveling into or through threat areas.) I have supported risk management projects, including CalArp, OSHA, and EPA Clean Air Regulations for Petrochemical Refineries. I have conducted security evaluations for nuclear powerplants, and I have held certain security clearances (details upon serious request). I have provided research services for engineers in the field of risk management, and helped develop basic terrorist-related threat evaluations (that included flying hijacked aircraft into buildings) two years before the 9/11 attacks. I started out as a "door-kicker", but would like to re-enter the field and work my way up to a management position. I'm not willing to relocate, but I am willing to travel (overseas, if required, into hostile environments if needed, so long as personal security assets are provided), and I have the ability to telecommute via high-speed internet. So, if you catch wind of an organization or agency who is looking for threat analysts, instructors, door-kickers, or the like, please pass along the info, and I will contact them with a cover letter and a resume. Neither of which can be found east of the Cascades... I hope that you will use this as a stepping stone into the world of the MilBlogger, and find that we are not simply a bunch of knuckle-dragging killing machines, but are, in fact, real people. We are fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers and sisters... We have insights and opinions, and they are not always in line with what the Armed Forces hierarchy holds to be true. We all ahev one thing in common... We watch out for our citizen-soldiers, and we support them as they pursue the mission of defending our country, and travelling around the world to fight a fight on the enemy's doorstep, so that we will not have to fight it here at home.
