I’m happy to share with you a sneak peek into a photo project by Frankie Magazine, a popular Australian magazine for women (and men too) looking for individual artistic content and style.
Frankie has just published its first limited edition photo album, which will be on sale from Oct 14, 2009. It is now available for pre-order here.

The 144-page album features the works of more than 100 amateur and professional photographers from around the world. A pictorial collectible not only meant for shutterbugs but also for anyone who enjoys looking at beautiful pictures.

Shown here are four stunning pictures that you’ll find in the photo album. They are the works of the following photographers (from top to bottom):

I really love the f,l,o,w,e,r,s ruler created by Japanese designer Norihiko Terayama of Studio Note. Each acrylic ruler consists of 28 dried flowers with red-dyed stems, meticulously placed 1 cm apart from each other by the designer himself.

The tiny red flowers will more than substitute the lack of inch marks on this unique ruler.

This fun limited edition art print by Shelli of Studio Mela makes me smile! I collect egg beaters, from vintage, miniature to modern and state-of-the-art one, in order to find the one that can beat the frothiest egg white and thickest cream… A colorful picture that I’d love to have in my kitchen!

Ruffles and dusty pink, a style and color that I haven’t touched since I was a little girl, are making a comeback in my wardrobe. I’m loving these contemporary bohemian pieces from Australian label Fleur Wood’s winter 2009 collection. Probably not something I can wear on its own for winter here in Canada, but with lots of layers over, that should do fine. Browse more Fleur Wood collections here.

Meal times can’t get quirkier and more interesting than this … “Lime slices for dinner again?” said the white pair of chopsticks to the black. “Why? Isn’t that better than doodling on an empty plate?” came the reply from the large plate.
Designed by Takumi Ishida to look like pencils, the ramin wood pencil chopsticks come in a set of four white and four black. Unfortunately, you can’t draw with them.
The set of three chat plates by Ikuko Nakazawa, are designed to look like conversation bubbles. Don’t you think the plates and chopsticks go together perfectly?
