how do i get to all this to do that step by step to turn on or off universal repository

Can someone help me I will like to remove ubuntu from my laptop .How can I accomplish that?

I've just started on Ubuntu. Need help to install Voipbuster. Have downloaded linphone 3.2.1 but haven't got the foggiest idea what to do with it. Anybody out there who has done Voipbuster? Please help.

From Linux I can see my wireless network, and I set up the password, but it doesn't log in. I can log in from OSX and Windows Vista, but not from Ubuntu.

Any suggestions?

I follow some steps to set up Ubuntu, but i set up until it asks me to reboot.. after that.. the black screen is on, requesting the my username and password.

I´m pretty new to linux I used Xubuntu once yet I tried to install Ubuntu 9.10 now but it appears to be a problem because the installation ends completely well yet when I try to run it it reads that my hard drive is not existente ( i got sure I wasn´t installing it into a portable hard drive) and I ´ve tried to install it several times quite frankly it´s getting on my nerves. Does anybody know what could be happening?

I have a Ubuntu 9.04 , It has been working fine, I decided to change my desktop background and put a picture and change the theme. To apply the changes I restarted the computer, the picture appears with an empty desktop no taskbar and toolbar which was at the top, the clock, the icons, firefox, evolution email, etc.
all gone, I am lost can you help?

I have a windows machine downstairs with a nifty laser printer atached, and I am upstairs on my ubuntu box sharing internet, but I don't know how to share the printer, or access my files on the windows machine.

Anyone have some time to walk me through it, or have any pointers? thanks

I just installed Ubuntu 9.04 to a usb stick. The install went fine, and works no problem. However when i add my wireless and change the desktop picture, then reboot, it reverts back no wireless and original picture. Is it something I'm doing wrong? AM sorta new to Linux and Ubuntu. Could someone please help me

I was not able to make that webcam to work on 9.04 and not on current version of Ubuntu. Strangely enough, the built-in mike works alright. Any clue anyone out there?

Aptlinex addon allows installing ubuntu packages from iceweasel, firefox, galeon or konqueror just clicking on a web link. i have a trouble just like at the subject, i have ubuntu server 64 bit rel. 9.1
my rayd controller is a promise fasttrack 2400, with two port sata 2 and working on raid 1 with 2 hdd wd 1tb 7200 rpm.
Linux os is mounted on other hdd sata2 with wd 250 gb capacity.
how can i use the raid ? and also i'd like don't detroy data on that array hw if is possible,someone can halp me?

I've recently installed ubuntu 9.04 (32-bit) on my HP 6715b computer with AMD Turion x64. The first problem are white lines that flash on my screen every time I open a program, move a window along the screen or without any reason at all.

The second problem is that my computer won't start up or shut down without me pressing space or mouse button from time to time.

I tried installing ubuntu 9.04 64x, but it worked even worse.
