My last name is Irish (but like for most African Americans that's just a slave owner's last name)My grandmother's birthday is March 17th.I drink socially.Doesn't quite give me reason to fully feel a connection to St. Patrick's Day. (St. Patrick introduced Christianity to the Irish.. how does that translate to drinking and feasting??)I love the color green and if that's a reason to get a drink

My first nude lippy love was with MAC's lip lacquer in Love In. I use it on all of my brides. It is a dreaded discontinued item :( Oddly enough, it has lasted for a veerryy long time.I found a dupe for it: Nars' Striptease! LOVE!Love In is a bit more golden and opaque on the first swipe. Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia-- looks pretty red right? It really is Fuchsia. The color is pigmented. Hot pink, almost florescent. Love the packing with the classy, quilt print and the Revlon imprinted on the acutal lipstick. Grade A from me! For my first time wearing the lipstick, it made quite an impression on me and those who saw me lol! So three amigos went out for my #1 favorite

Ack my nails! This isn't a Ruffian-inspired manicure, though it could be... How about Sally Hansens Flamingo to match at the bottom of the purple? When my nails get old and are ready for a fill, I get a bit adventurous. This time I painted over my Color Club's Power play (try Essie Perky Purple or Sinful's Dream On) with Love My Nails polish in Pretty in Pink on my tips. The glitter flashes pink

I was gifted some Lock Loops * and other goodies from Muthasfynest after she cut off her locs....(Don't gasp. I've accepted that some people just need a change after being with a style for so long). My sister maintains my locs, so she felt at liberty to try the Loc Loops on herself first. Gorgeous curls right! Look at how she colors her locs.. she dyes them every 3 months or so! Yeh! I finally copped something from the little sister. I found her makeup bag and found my Urban Decay 24/7 liner Zero in it. Thanks. *rolls eyes* I also found NYX Paris lipstick. I was wondering how close this is to MAC's Pink Nuveau lipstick, which I don't own yet. I gotta spice up the cam whoring some how! :D In the pics, the color is softer and more wearable. However, in real life it

After arriving in NY and seeing what we could while Staples hopping (don't ask), we finally got to our hotel and settled in. The ladies had to get ready! This is one of the biggest reasons I had the best weekend ever. Yes, that's Ted Gibson and me. Before I could ask him to take a pic with me, he embraced my face and began to exclaim how beautiful I was (...double, blubber chin and all) to the crowd standing around awaiting his attention. From that point on, he was my Valentine in my mind. Oh natural sistas, I got to tell him personally how

My transition story (if I haven't told it already):
While pregnant, I gave up chemicals during pregnancy. After delivering my bambino, I tried to stick with it, but I couldn't quite manage my natural hair. Having the two textures and becoming increasingly tender headed, I went back to relaxing. I got tired of that. I never learned how to take care of my hair in a processed state either! The
