Finally! My eBook “Lightworker’s Guide to Self-Employment” is ready for your free download.

lightworkers guide to self employment

I feel strongly about self employment. I love being my own boss, and I envision more and more people will be self-employed in the New World. Having made the transition from a corporate employee to a small business owner recently, I also know there are a lot of questions and fear among aspiring entrepreneurs.

This eBook guides you from the embryonic phase of “Can I possibly start my own business? Do I have what it takes? What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur anyway?” to the point you make the leap of faith with a clear vision of your success. It consists of three parts:

Part I: Myths & Reality
Part II: 5 Steps to Self-Employment
Part III: Your Success

A lot of materials comes from the posts I wrote on this Yes to Me blog, but I have added new ideas and insights, and put them all together in an integrated one vision, one process. It discusses paycheck mentality vs risk management skill, our attitude about marketing, very practical suggestions about business names (which is a key to effective marketing), the unavoidable issue of money, our secret fear of success that deters us, and a lot more.

Spiritual entrepreneurship

Throughout the eBook, I point out how spirituality can help you in the endeavor of starting a new business. If you think spirituality has nothing to do with the real world challenge of making money, you are in for a good surprise. If you think spirituality is a drawback, putting you to a disadvantage against those aggressive “practical” type who would do anything to make money, you are in for an even bigger surprise.

I know this from my own experience. I don’t think I had the courage to quit my cushy corporate job if it wasn’t with my spirituality. I don’t think I could survive the transitional phase when nothing much was happening (at least on the surface) if I didn’t have the willingness to contribute to the world. Now, this year, which is my second year, I’m making more than I did in the corporate world and my business is growing. Doing what I love and by helping people.

This eBook is a gift to you and to the world. You can just click on the icon on this page or on the sidebar to download it. You are also welcome to share it with your friends.

Social entrepreneurship

The eBook is free, but if you find it valuable, please consider making a contribution to Kiva. Kiva is not a charity — they help entrepreneurs in the developing countries by lending money for their businesses. Those entrepreneurs will pay you back. You can then take back your money or re-loan to another entrepreneur.

When I think of the many small business owners all over the world, I feel so inspired and I’m sure the feeling is doing me good in my business. Plus, by making them rich, we are developing a worldwide market — for your business.

Kiva - loans that change lives

I appreciate if you could leave a comment with your thoughts on this eBook. Perhaps I will revise and enrich the eBook in the future to make it even better, and your feedback is priceless in such an effort.

My gratitude also goes to those many entrepreneurs who have inspired me through the interviews and other communications. Entrepreneurs are never alone (which is another critical point I make in the eBook). In fact, I will be publishing several more Interviews With Successful Entrepreneurs soon — interviews with some spirited business owners that I came to know recently. (Stay tuned!)

I am so glad I found this book The Spontaneous Healing of Belief because it gives scientific explanations on so many ideas I’m familiar with, such as the true nature of reality, our creative power over our own lives and on the world, and the Law of Attraction with the power of feelings. The book also serves as a great follow up on Dr Bruce Lipton’s The Biology Of Belief, by discussing what belief can do beyond our individual body.

belief

Reality as simulation game

Gregg Braden cites various scientific studies to show us that this everyday world we live in is a computer simulation, a virtual reality on a giant scale, in the Universal computer. What we call reality is not real, but only a reflection of true reality.

This idea of life as dream (or, I call it “living movie” in the article linked above) is often mentioned in the various spirituality traditions, and it’s so refreshing to see science finally catching up. (By the way, this idea is present in the Bible, too. It says Adam fell a deep sleep — but it doesn’t say he woke up. So, we can interpret this that we are living in Adam’s dream.”)

The good news is we are not just living in a simulation but we can reprogram the simulation, too. We are the actors as well as the directors in this living movie. We are the creatures as well as the creators. We are active participants, not just a powerless victims or observers.

How do we reprogram the Universal computer program? By our beliefs. By shattering the old paradigm of false limitations and adopting new beliefs. You know, not just wishing, not just wanting to believe, but believing from the bottom of your heart, with all your feelings.

Gregg Braden shares that our heart emits electric and magnetic energies. On the other hand, it is proven that electric or magnetic energies can change the nature of atoms, the building blocks of this world. So when we believe, when we feel the new possibility with our heart, the electromagnetic energy from the heart can change the atoms in and around us, changing the so-called reality.

The Earth experiment

Gregg Braden also discusses what it may mean that this world we live in is a simulation. A simulation is usually used for training. So are we getting trained to better live in the true reality?

This is basically the same of what I call the Earth experiment. Our Higher Selves (also called oversouls) send individual souls to this world to — experience. There is no judgment really. We are here to learn, and mastery of the learning leads to joy.

If you are experiencing difficulty in life, that just means you are at a great learning point — just as when you are in simulation program and facing difficult situation. You can keep trying in your old malfunctioning manner until you figure a new way that works. (I’m sorry if this statement sounds cynical — it is not. I really mean difficulties are great learning opportunities.)

The Law of Attraction and the Field

So we have the creative power. Gregg Braden explains this process by introducing the idea of the “Field”, also called zero-point field, or The Divine Matrix (which is the title of his book that precedes this one)

What we think and feel, what we believe, we can create — we can manifest. This is the same with the Law of Attraction, but I like Gregg Braden’s way of explanation. I always felt LoA is more about creation and the word “attraction” causes unnecessary misunderstanding. I know it works, and now we have a better way to understand it.

Here is a video clip where he explains all this, giving the skinny of this book:

Working the miracles of belief

In this book, he also says,

“Through the healing of our beliefs, we discover how — with the grace and ease that comes from experiencing ourselves as part of the world rather than separate from it. When we do so, we become the seed of life’s miracles, as well as the miracles themselves.” (page 207)

Miracles like reversing dis-eases and living just as long as you want. Gregg Braden is smart and doesn’t use the emotionally-charged word “immortality”, but he does talk about super longevity, saying, “The first 100 years are the hardest.”

He talks about redirecting time, space and matter, so I guess immortality is pretty much in his scope.

So how do you want to rewrite your “reality”? What kind of miracles do you want to work on? Now you know how to change your life and the world. Don’t just sit back and complain. That does absolutely no good. Changing your belief, rewriting the computer program, brings change.

“Whatsoever you shall ask, believing, you shall receive.” — Jesus (Matthew 21:22)

dualism
Do you believe in dualism? That there are two opposing powers in this world fighting against each other? Such as light vs dark or good vs evil?

After writing about darkworkers, I feel obliged to write about the issue of dualism. Because darkness doesn’t really exist and understanding this is the key to freedom. (Photo credit)

Fighting against darkness is futile

I understand the idea of light vs dark, or God vs Saturn, is thousands of years old in the Christian tradition. Many other religions and cultures have similar concept of dualism.

It is so ingrained in our collective thinking that few people stop and think what darkness really is.

Can you show me darkness? I mean, a substance that causes darkness?

You cannot. Dark is simply the absence of light. You can show me light, but darkness is always a matter of comparison.

So, then, what does it mean to fight against darkness?

It’s a fight against the shadows on the wall. It may look huge and scary, but it’s only a shadow. And naturally, no one — no superman, no super psychic, not even “the one” — can win in this battle. Of course not. It’s just a shadow, an illusion.

Perhaps I am confusing some people. Didn’t I just write about darkworkers? But if you go back and check that article, you notice that my definition of a darkworker, or negative soul, is the soul that is moving away from Light and therefore draining energy from other people. Notice there is nothing about darkness in the definition. And yes, at this time, such souls exist. But darkness doesn’t.

Darkness is something we make up in our mind. It is us who is giving life to the illusion of darkness, just like small kids give life to the shadow on the wall.

It’s time we notice this and wake up.

How to get out of the dualism

It’s actually quite simple. Live in the here and now. Accept everything in the here and now completely with no comparison.

When do you feel the push and pull battle of light and dark, or good and evil? Let’s say you have an important exam tomorrow. You feel you should study tonight — that’s the good, considerate thing to do, right? On the other hand, you are tempted to go to a bar and just goof off. Ah, your lazy, evil twin who gets you in trouble! And what if you start thinking how you can cheat? Now that’s really bad, right?

Do you see it’s your mind playing this game? Your mind (or your ego) can go to a great length in this game. Drawing from your past experiences, your mind casts a grim image of you failing the exam if you don’t prepare for it. It also casts an image of success, which is just as hollow — it’s just expectation, not reality.

The reality is — you are. Period.

Our souls don’t care if something is good or bad. We came to this world to experience. If we don’t like certain experience, that’s just that. Next. If we like certain experience, that’s just that, too. Next. No judgment. They just are.

Seeing life this way may take a bit of getting used to until you get the hang of it. But really, getting out of the dualism is fast and easy. You just see things as they are with no mental chatter.

Reviewing dualities in your life

I encourage you to review what you have thought to be duality. Are they real? Or is one side of duality really non-existent, like darkness?

I think the only true dualities are the technical polarities, like positive and negative charge of electricity or cars moving either direction of the road. In such cases, there is no value judgement. Driving up north or down south are neither better nor worse by itself. While the word “negative” may sound bad, negative charge of electricity is just that — it’s not good or bad. Sometimes, negative is a good thing. When your doctor runs a blood test to see if you are infected with a disease, a negative result is a good news.

Just one more thought on duality

When you examine your idea of duality, you may also notice that some so-called dualities are not opposite but more like pairs.

Men and women are good example of this case. They have different sexual organs, supported by different sexual hormones and genes. In the formation of a new life, they play different roles. However, they are both humans and share a lot of qualities as humans. Men and women are not opposite to each other that forms duality. If they are, when a female manager replaces a male manager, it should cause 180 degree change effects to the organization, for instance. Like putting a battery backwards.

We deal with this kind of fake dualities all the time. Just because two groups of people or two ideas are very different doesn’t mean they are opposite and polarized. Some examples are body and mind, thinking and feeling, rich and poor and meat eaters and vegetarians.

Obviously, there is no reason at all to fight over this kind of non-polarized fake dualities.

What kind of duality controls you? Let me know in the comment ;)

sky earth
I really wish there are no such thing like darkworkers. I really wish everyone, I mean EVERYONE, is evolving toward Light and I can hug (literally and energetically) everyone wholeheartedly with zero concern of my energetic flow. I dream of such beautiful world.

We are not there yet.

It’s true all souls came from the same one Source, as I described in this article about Light. At some point, however, some souls used their free will to go against (or away from) the Source.

I received some interesting comments to my recent article about Lightworkers and would like to clarify some points further. (Photo Credit)

The degree of light and darkness

So all souls are either evolving toward Light or de-evolving. I call all evolving souls Lightworkers.

Now when you think of a vehicle on the road, the direction it’s moving is critical, but its speed also matters. A Lightworker soul may be moving fast toward Light or they may be so troubled that they are hardly moving. Or anywhere in between.

Likewise, I consider all de-evolving souls to be darkworkers, but there can be a terminology issue here. There are souls that are moving away from the Source big time and there are souls that are slowly going backwards. Some people may choose to call the first kind “darkworker” and not the latter. As long as we are clear about the definition, both views are valid. (I’m a linguist by training — definition is the foundation of any argument.)

So in my definition, darkworker or negative souls don’t always mean someone like Hitler. My spirit guides tell me about 13% of the population is currently going against the natural energy flow, so they are everywhere. Some lightworker souls are more prone to their attention and attack, but I don’t think anyone is free from them.

Which means it’s important to discern energy hackers in our lives.  (And toward the end of this article, you will learn why the tough love approach of detachment helps not only you but the darkworkers themselves.)

The best way to tell a darkworker

The best and only true way to tell if someone is a darkworker or not is to pay attention to your energy flow. Darkworkers don’t receive vital life energy from the Source like Lightworkers do, and so they take the energy from the people around them. (By “around”, I don’t necessarily mean physical proximity. Space doesn’t matter energetically.)

So you would feel drained after talking with them. Again, the degree of drainage depends — some steal big time and some more subtly.

Well, I know this description is vague. You want a clear way to tell a darkworker so you can be sure what you are doing with them, right?

I’ve thought about this a long time, and I really cannot give you a “checklist” you can use to identify a darkworker. You know, the kind of checklist or test that you answer with yes or no, add up the scores, and boom, you know the definitive result!

No, this matter of light / darkworker doesn’t go that way. Because some signs are very subtle and confusing. A troubled lightworker may appear like a darkworker. (Having said this, I can share a few signs to help you . . . in just a moment.)

How the Akashic Records can help

If you are serious about finding the true soul-level identity of someone, please order a Snapshot Reading. Snapshot Reading is the abbreviated reading of my comprehensive Akashic Record Reading that is focused on finding out the soul characteristics of someone, not about clearing the energetic issues for them.

If that someone is going to be a critical part of your life, like if you are considering to marry him or her or going into business with them, I think this is a wise investment.

And please note this is a follow up reading for those who have had the Akashic Record Reading for themselves. I don’t see why anyone would want to dig up someone else’s soul truth before understanding themselves. (Well, negative souls would want to do that . . . but then, I don’t want to help negative souls take advantage of others.)

Signs of a darkworker

If you are the DIY soul, the first and most important thing to do is to pay attention to your energy flow. Don’t be shy to admit you feel drained after spending time with someone.

And then, here are some “signs” that raises a flag. Please keep in mind (I know I’m repeating myself here, but this is important) this is NOT a checklist. A person may exhibit all these signs and may still be a lightworker. I’m sharing these signs to help you be more sensitive to your energy flow, not to make you judgmental to others.

1. He or she present themselves as smaller or bigger than life.
Darkworkers know they cannot present themselves simply as they are. So they present themselves as someone who is (unfairly) victimized and who need help. Or they may present themselves as a great wonderful person to be idolized. (Remember Hitler was an idol for a while?)

In both cases, they explain themselves very well. Whereas lightworkers live their life, darkworkers explain and negotiate their life.

Again, just because someone is in trouble or because someone is very negative in their speech or behavior patterns doesn’t mean they are negative souls. Or just because someone is famous or working on a big project doesn’t mean they are negative souls. So here is another sign, or indication, to guide you . . .

2. He or she is constantly in the waves of dramas.
They always have a good explanation, but the bottom line is darkworkers are almost always in some kind of drama. Positive souls don’t like staying in drama — they would try to help others in need, but sooner or later there comes a point that they step back because they are so drained energetically. Negative souls, on the other hand, quietly thrive on dramas.

If someone seems to be just so wonderful at first glance, but somehow seems to be in drama all the time, don’t hesitate to listen to your gut feeling. “Wow, he won an award for the project he worked? And now he works for that prestigious company. . . But wait, then why is he always short on money? He said he got unlucky and got a traffic ticket. . . Hmm. Wasn’t he talking about another trouble before — like his GF stole from him or something. . . I felt so bad for him. . . I don’t know. I just don’t like his company so much, but is it selfish of me to think this way?”

On the other hand, it’s very hard to distinguish negative souls who present themselves as troubled, victimized souls from lightworker souls who are troubled and victimized. In a sense, they are indeed similar — they are stuck and hardly moving.

One of the subtle differences is that, with darkworker souls,

3. You feel the help you offer gets sucked up in a void.
Darkworkers souls are weird. I really don’t think I understand them well. When they come to my Akashic Record Reading, I do what I can do. They often have extremely uncomfortable energetic issues like ongoing soul shifting, which I can clear. And I hope the clearing helps them to return to Light. (Just to be clear — Hitler type don’t come to my practice.  They would NOT want their soul truth known even if I pay them.)

Well, the clearing is good, but my challenge comes when they ask how they can improve their lives.

So I point out their drama tendency and suggest they start building their lives with their own power, in a small manageable way. And they say something like, “Oh, I know I give too much of myself to others.” I might try again all over saying what it is to build their life with their own power rather than relying on other people’s power, and they go, “Oh, but that’s so hard. Can you help me?”

I give up. I understand they have a right and free will to stay the way they are. As a lightworker, I must respect free will. My responsibility is to read the Akashic Records and clear the energetic issues.

How to deal with darkworkers

Again, the most important thing is to pay attention to your energy flow, or your gut feeling. It may come as a hesitant pause like, “? That just doesn’t make sense.” or “I don’t know why, but I just don’t like this feeling.”

Let me share another example to illustrate the case. Let’s say you are new to meditation. What would you do? You might read some articles or book and try sitting at home. You might join the local meditation circle or class. You might try listening to guided meditation or meditation music. All these are good approaches and I’m sure you choose the one that is best for your learning style.

A negative soul might sign up a 10 day meditation camp.

I’m not saying intensive meditation or such camps are no good. But do you see how out of sync it is for a beginner to sign up such a course? Sure, it’s impressive (think about the time and money investment!), which relates to the “bigger than life” characteristic of a negative soul. And if they didn’t achieve enlightenment in that camp, then they become the victim in the drama. They may say something like, “That meditation camp was a rip off.”

I don’t know what it’s like to be a negative soul because I’ve never been in their shoes. I guess they have a very lopsided self image that pushes them to do this kind of thing.

I feel for that. And I step back.

Yes, this is how lightworkers deal with darkworkers. Step back.  Detach. Don’t try to change them. God gave everyone free will, including the will to go against the Source. Messing up with free will is by itself a dark act.

By stepping back and not offering your energy to them, you are providing them the chance to return to Light. Darkworkers cannot exist without lightworkers offering their energy, knowingly or unknowingly. So it’s more important to raise our awareness than “dealing with” darkworkers. (Needless to say, in the case of crimes, call 911.)

Blueprint Technicians form a subcategory within the Blueprinters group. All Blueprinters share a lot of characteristics, so before we get to the specific characteristics of Blueprint Technicians, please read the first post on Blueprinters if you haven’t done so already.  (Photo credit)

After Blueprint Originators worked on the general concept of the Earth experiment and Blueprint Designers worked on the aesthetic aspect of the blueprints, Blueprint Technicians worked on the technical side of blueprints. This includes (but probably not limited to) the energetic grid system on Earth, the chakra system in our body, the meridians, and twelve strands of DNA. So for Blueprint Technicians, the study of energy anatomy comes quite easily — for them, these topics are something they can recall, not something they need to study from scratch.

Blueprinter Technicians’ technical yet creative expertise

Blueprint Technicians are very good at technical and analytical thinking. While Alpha Centaurians (and many unstuck Sirians) like to apply their technical thinking to practical problems in a down-to-earth, let’s-roll-up-the-sleeves-and-get-it-done manner, Blueprint Technicians are more about theories and abstract thinking. They are very detail-oriented, and can form a perfectly organized theory.

Now this is where it gets interesting. Quite a few of my Akashic Record Reading clients who turn out to be Blueprint Technicians bark at hearing this, saying, “I can think in technical terms, but I consider myself to be more creative / intuitive.”

Then they email me saying something in the line of — “I’ve been doing the 21 day clearing homework every night before going to bed. Next week, I need to travel on business to different time zone area, and if I do the homework before bedtime there, that would be after midnight by my local time. So I’d go without clearing for more than 24 hours. Is this a problem, and how can I best address this problem?”

Ah, such a Blueprint Technician question.

Blueprint Technicians created the energy system, so they are creative. Just by glancing the wide range of professions of my Blueprint Technician clients, this is obvious. They include not just the typical technical professions such as engineers and doctors but also business analysts, market analysts, philosophers, musicians, and more.

The last one, musician, is quite notable. In my small practice, I’ve already had several Blueprint Technicians who are professional musicians and a few more who are professionally involved in the music industry. Music is math, I heard . . .

Blueprint Technicians’ ideal

Like all other Blueprinters, Blueprint Technicians’ ideal is to restore the original blueprints. Many Blueprint Technicians are very active in this effort. They nudge, preach, coach, write, encourage the true human potential to enlighten the public. (They are also big on repairing and improving stuffs and processes.)

Another ideal is to balance the head and the heart. This is a big challenge for Blueprint Technicians themselves. Blueprint Technicians placed too much emphasis on the thinking mind when they worked on the original blueprints. As a result, many people started to identify with their thinking mind (or ego) rather than with their soul. They largely ignore or despise the function of the feeling heart, which can work as the gateway to the spiritual world.

Blueprint Technicians have realized this problem and are working on repairing it. The mind is a tool of the soul. It’s a wonderful tool, but it’s a tool. We are not our brain, not our thoughts. We are the soul with thinking mind and feeling heart.

Again, this is a big challenge for Blueprint Technicians themselves. Many Blueprint Technicians are still living the over-emphasis of the thinking mind themselves. These are serious kind of souls with little sense of humor and little room for forgiveness (including forgiveness for themselves). So these Blueprint Technicians are starting to learn how to get outside of their head a little bit. They can fix the blueprint problem only after they work on their own tendency.

And I guess some Blueprint Technicians are mastering this. When they do master the balance of the head and the heart, Blueprint Technicians are very empowered.

Blueprint Technicians’ gifts

Again, Blueprint Technicians have deep understanding and insights about the human potential, the original blueprint. And Blueprint Technicians can support their understanding with strong analysis and theory, if they so choose.

I’m watching with great curiosity how Blueprint Technicians go around with their gifts. On the one hand, they have strong analytical skill. On the other, they feel the need to balance the head and the heart. These two drives may seem contradictory sometimes. How are they going to integrate them in a creative way? Very interesting.

Blueprint Technicians’ challenges in loving relationships

A lot of the things I had to say about Blueprint Originators and Designers apply to Blueprint Technicians as well. Perhaps the difference is in the flavor — no matter how they may appear to be, Blueprint Technicians are quite serious and inflexible kind of souls, I think. This is fine (it means they are reliable solid ones), but it may cause some difficulties in romantic relationships where there are no real rules and most things are about emotions.

I think it’s essential Blueprint Technicians learn how to have fun. And to let go of control. And to relax.

I know these are the last things you want to do when you have difficult marriage. And many Blueprint Technicians voice such challenges. Yet, I still have to say this — go have fun. Learn to laugh. Get out of your head and send more energy to the heart.

And as I wrote in the first post about Blueprinters, don’t try to fit into the conventional norm of relationship and family. Blueprinters can create new style of relationship and family that are more in tune with the original blueprint of love.

Blueprint Technicians’ challenges in career and finance

It looks like most Blueprint Technicians know what they are good at and therefore I don’t think they need much advice in their career choices. Anything to do with repairing imperfections and bringing out the perfection in people, things, and processes are good.

The only thing is about balancing their abundance awareness with their career choices.

In our current society, we have a stereotype about job and pay. For instance, doctors are supposed to make a lot of money, whereas life coaches are not. So when someone in the medical field realizes they want to have more direct communication about the human potential, perhaps as a life coach, they face the potential of income loss. This can be scary.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be this way. This person may become a successful life coach and make a lot of money. But as long as this person buys into the social stereotypes, they are bound with negative abundance awareness. Blueprint Technicians are certainly not the only one who are likely to make this mistake, but they are quite susceptible because they are so in their head. Which is ironical when you remember Blueprinters created the original blueprints and should be the last one to buy into social stereotypes . . .

Blueprint Technicians’ role on Earth

Blueprint Technicians are the core group in Blueprinters. While Blueprint Originators are reserved and somewhat detached from reality, and while Blueprint Designers are busy just creating and creating in their own way, and while Blueprint Deliverers are good as a messengers but lack the in-depth technical understanding of the blueprints, Blueprint Technicians are diligent on their mission to repair the original blueprints supported with their analytical expertise. Plus, I believe Blueprint Technicians are the largest subgroup in the Blueprinters.

As they are working on the repair of the blueprints that have been corrupted by the negative forces, Blueprint Technicians are likely to meet many negative souls in their lives. Many Blueprint Technicians take up this challenge courageously and boldly. They remind me of some angel warriors in a humanely toned down manner. Or, when their boring side is more predominant, they look like those who work for security systems. Just metaphorically speaking:)

I hope more and more Blueprint Technicians wake up to embrace their soul gifts as we proceed in the shift of ages. This Ascension takes all the contributions of all the awakened souls, and Blueprint Technicians are certainly the essential part.

October in Review

I spent a lot of time thinking and writing about foods this month. I do believe physical health is important in spiritual growth. We are spiritual being incarnated in the flesh. The content is of course important, but the package is part of the deal, too.

So if you haven’t, please check this out. And this.  And let’s treat our bodies with gratitude!

My eBook “Lightworker’s Guide to Self-Employment” is coming soon. I completed my draft and it’s now in my graphic designer’s hands. When she is done, I will do the final read-through before the official release. So just another little while — I’m glad I made it before the holiday season.

I’ve been tweeting daily with inspirational quotes and my own insights. Communication within 140 characters is both fun and challenge. Here are some of my tweets that received multiple retweets and comments:

Challenges

Part of the reason why I have been thinking so much is because I’ve been detoxing myself. I’m in good health overall, but if I must point out something, I know my digestive system is weak. So I tried some herbal supplements for detox.

Gee, that was hard on the body! I’m not sure if I was ready for it. Detox can be too demanding to the system sometimes, I guess.

star
I’ve received some questions about starseeds, walk-ins, and lightworkers in general. So let me explain my understanding about these concepts.  (Photo credit)

Starseeds

Souls can be categorized into two groups depending on their history: souls that started right from this planet Earth and souls that have been to other star system(s) prior to coming to Earth. I call each Earth souls and starseed souls.

This is a soul level issue. Being starseed does NOT mean an alien came down and impregnated your mother. On the physical level, you are the product of your biological parents. On the soul level, you have your own history.

Obviously, “starseed” is a catch-all term. Depending on which star system the soul has been, we can further divide starseed souls into specific groups (sometimes called soul families). This is what my starseed seres is about. So far, I’ve written about:

I plan to write about the other starseed groups including (I will add the links when I post the articles):

  • Blueprint Technicians
  • Blueprint Deliverers and Blueprint Changers
  • Mintakans (Orion)
  • Polarians
  • Arcturians
  • Nihals
  • Spicans
  • Parallels

I’ve heard about other starseeds such as those from Mars, Maldec (the ancient planet that was located where the asteroids are currently), Vega, and Andromeda, but I have not seen them in my Akashic Record Reading practice, so at this time, I choose not to discuss them.

Also it is possible that a soul has visited two stars before coming to Earth. Usually, one of the two shows as the predominant influence on the soul. Depending on the order of the stay, I call these secondary originations underlay and overtone. For instance, my main identity is Blueprinter and my underlay is Mission Realmer. While my Blueprinter characteristics are quite pronounced, you probably wouldn’t see my Mission Realmer side until you get to see how I live on the day-to-day basis.

It is also possible, at least theoretically, to have three or more stars in your history, but I have never seen them.

Walk-ins

Walk-in is a one time soul shift, as opposed to ongoing back-and-forth soul shift. Because you are your soul, in the physical form, once the walk in happens, you are the new soul. Don’t think you “lost” your true soul or someone is taking over you. You are your current soul. I know this concept is disturbing to some people, but this is how it is.

As I wrote in that linked article, there are many types of walk-ins, or one time soul shift. All can be about starseed or Earth soul.

For instance, a person may have had the Pleiadian soul until the Pleiadian exodus happened about ten years ago. When the Pleiadian soul left, another soul volunteered to switch in — without soul, the body is dead, and it’s such a waste to let a good body die.

The new soul may be an Earth soul or another kind of starseed soul, say, a Sirian soul. So this is the walk-in. The person would exhibit personality change quite abruptly. (And a big clear change in this example because Pleiadians are very characteristic souls.)

A notable case of walk-in is the Ascension soul shift. This is when the new updated version of the soul from the same Higher Self (or oversoul) walks in. The new soul vibrates in the higher dimension.

While other types of walk-ins can happen at any age, including childhood, Ascension soul shift seems to be the exception in that it usually happen only to adults. The youngest client who’s had Ascension soul shift was around eighteen years old. Most clients who goes through Ascension soul shifts seem to be well in their adulthood.

Lightworkers

Lightworkers are souls that are evolving toward the Source, the Source of loving light energy of life. Most Earth souls and the aforementioned starseed souls are lightworker souls.

It’s a confusing term because it implies it’s about work. “Light being” or “positively evolving souls” would be a lot better term.

The opposite of lightworkers are the darkworkers, souls that have chosen to go away from the Source. I’m a bit annoyed to discuss darkworkers because some people are so afraid of even talking about them and think just talking about darkworkers make one a darkworker. I received some harassment emails after writing that post that says, “Akemi, you are going dark yourself”.

Geesh. I would rather die than joining the dark forces. Seriously. I know, as Akashic Record Reader, death is a lot easier to recover from than getting tied with dark forces.

Darkworkers are quite dumb about their decision to go against the Source. Because, if they are going against the only authentic source of life energy, how can they get their supply of life energy? They usually steal energy from the people around them. They have to sneak around or even disguise their own sense of self to get this done.

Some people define lightworkers as those who have taken up to work for the light, people who does lightworks such as healing and charity work. As Akashic Record Reader, I simply cannot agree with this definition, although I understand people want outwardly sign to tell if someone is a lightworker or not.

Through my Akashic Record Reading practice, I became aware quite a few darkworkers take these lightworker jobs. If you think about it, it makes sense. Who comes to healing service? Souls who are disturbed and distressed, and therefore unguarded. By being a healer, a darkworker gets a constant inflow of clients who are susceptible. They can fix some energy flow or give some nutritional advice, then take some energy from the clients.

This doesn’t mean all healers or others who are in lightworker jobs are darkworkers. No way. I like to think most of them are indeed lightworkers. It does mean, however, that we need to pay attention to the actual energy flow, not the job title and other labels, to understand who the person is.

Do you have any questions about these concepts? Don’t hesitate to ask in the comments!

anti dogma

Don’t be like a religious fundamentalist with your diet. Always consult your current body, not the dogma. — my recent tweet

I’ve devoted three posts exploring the best way to eat for our physical and spiritual health:
Meat Eaters vs Vegetarians In Spirituality
Eat For Your Health And Spirituality
Detox Your Body And Mind

In this post, I want to sum up the discussion. We are still talking about foods, but the point is our relationship with foods, or the way we choose to eat. And the way we choose to live in general, including our spiritual journey. (Photo credit)

The objective of any spiritual and religious paths

First, let me explain why I’m so passionate about healthy eating because some of you may be wondering, “Hey, I thought Yes to Me was a spirituality blog. . .”

Well, there are only two objectives in any spiritual and religious paths:

  1. To establish direct contact and communication with divinity (whatever name you use for that divinity)
  2. To realize that divinity is really within oneself.

All other objectives such as the search of the meaning of life, one’s own purpose in life, or the relief from pain in life (the biggest being the loss of the loved ones and fear of one’s own death) naturally follow when you achieve Objective #1. And Objective #1 leads to Objective #2.

Now do you think physical health would help establishing communication with God? Surely. Not that a sick person cannot communicate with God. In some cases, health crisis may even promote spiritual awakening. But if you want sustainable relationship with God, better health is certainly desirable. Trying to communicate with divinity while you are feeling so distracted with pain, your mind is cloudy and cluttered, full of fear, anxiety, anger, and resentment is like trying to tune in to the radio signal with an old cranker radio. You may be able to (and won’t you be impressed when it happens!), but it’s hard.

So it really pays to take good care of ourselves.

And as we get experienced with this divine communication, we realize everything is within us. God ceases to be some kind of third party, or even the second person. You start to remember you are God incarnated in the physical body.

Gee, don’t you want your body to show the glory of God as it is?

However, it’s possible we get sidetracked with the physicality and become materialistic. As we nurture our physical body, we also want to remember physicality is only one side of the coin, that we are a spiritual being in physical body.

I’m not eating healthy (and exercising and doing other healthy habits) just to be at my optimal weight (whatever that may be).
I’m not eating healthy just to avoid health problems.
I’m pursuing my best physical health for my whole being, including spirituality.

The role of dogma

When our spirituality is underdeveloped, it helps us to have a clear guideline of what to do and what not. This is the role of religions and their dogmas. For example, many religions recommend meditation and other similar practices of quiet time. They even call meetings at their religious houses to do this meditation and reflection so that people won’t miss it. Without these teachings, many of us would just miss it due to our everyday busy-ness.

Our spirituality, however, has grown to the point that we don’t need strict guidelines any longer. Each one of us can have direct contact with God and get advice from our spirit guides.

Certain religions still help many people. And even when your spirituality is well developed, if you find the guidelines work well with you, there is no reason you need to abandon them. So if your religion works for you, good for you.

But if it doesn’t, don’t bend over for it. Rather than following the dogma, consult your own inner guides. Develop your own spiritual way.

Likewise, if a certain way of eating — raw, vegetarian, vegan, Ayurveda , etc. — works for you, great. But if it doesn’t, don’t bend and twist yourself to fit into the dogma. Consult with your own body.

You are in the flow

Energy flows, so you are in a constant flow of changes. What worked for you three months ago may not work for you today. Change of the seasons and other aspects of your lifestyle and health can all affect your best way to eat. If you travel, the location affects you, too.

So you want to stay flexible, and let me repeat: consult with your own body (and with your spirit guides if possible) about the best way to eat. Or best way of anything. Don’t get stuck in dogma and judgment.

I was pretty amazed when my spirit guides recently told me to incorporate a little bit of eggs into my diet. (Very moderately, like one boiled egg a few times a week.) I checked what Skinny Bitch had to say about eggs. (I reviewed this book in this first article about healthy eating). It spends less than one page about eggs, saying that eggs of a sick chicken has condensed toxins and therefore no good for our health. Certainly. But what about organic eggs?

The book doesn’t have any point against organic eggs, even though it points out various problems of organic meats and dairies. It says animals raised organically are slaughtered in the same slaughterhouses with other animals, which treats animals really badly. It’s killing after all. And cows are sucked up with their milk with ongoing sucking machine, like a torture. Plus, humans are the only animals that drink milk after infancy — the nutrition of dairy is no good for adults. But eggs? Yeah, it has some saturated fat, so if weight and cholesterol are health problems for you, you may want to be careful. I don’t see any logical problem in eating good organic eggs of healthy hens, however. Still, the authors of Skinny Bitch accuse eating any animal-based foods and recommend vegan diet.

Dogma. It can guide you or bind you.

Conclusion

So use dogma as a guideline to get started in healthy eating, or anything. But don’t get trapped in dogma. Nor in anti-dogma, which is just another dogma. As you grow in experiences, learn to rely on your inner guides. Get out of the duality value system.

By the way, after writing this post, but before posting it, Lisa the mommy mystic posted an interesting article about dogma and anti-dogma dogma. She draws from her experience in parenting, so especially for the moms among you, I highly recommend checking out her post.

Do you have any questions about optimal diet? About dogma or anti-dogma? Please let me know in the comment. Thank you.

I’m so impressed with this little book that I feel obligated to introduce it to you. It’s a small book of a 100 pages or so, no frills. The simplicity and its longevity (the current version was first published in 1985. It says the book was first published in the 1930s) show there is something remarkable about the book.

I’m often disappointed with books that come with so many frills. Quite often, the latter half of the book is a rehash of the first half so I can just scan through quickly once I read 50 to 60% of the book. It leaves me wondering why the author had to do this — if you only have material to fill 100 pages, write 100 pages and be done with it. Making it to 200 pages by being redundant doesn’t add any more value.

So when this book got right to the point that this is about toning the seven chakras and raising their speed, and immediately went to the business of explaining the five rites (yoga-like exercises), I was impressed. I took out my exercise mat just as fast.

The five rites (well, there are additional two if you want to become what the author calls “superman / superwoman”) are simple. The author maintains they are of Tibetan origin. I’m doing the three repetitions of each as the book recommends. The goal is to do twenty-one reps of each, which probably takes about twenty minutes or so. They are not difficult, although some takes a bit of getting use to.

You can read this book in a few hours. But of course, the “secret” is in doing the thing every day. Try it for yourself.

And if you have tried this, let me know what you think. Did it help you improve health and rejuvenate? What do you think about physical immortality?

detox
In the previous post Eat For Your Health And Spirituality, I suggested you explore your own best way to eat by consulting with your body. I don’t think it’s a good idea to let someone else — whether they are professional nutritionist or spiritual leader — decide that for you. Because each of us is different. And because you are responsible for your truth. (Of course, this is not just about diet — don’t buy into someone’s else’s truth just because he or she has a nice title or reputation).

Learning from the pros and more experienced people is good, but you make your own final decision.

Now here is one caution in doing so. Are you really free to make your own decision? Or is your decision influenced by internalized ideas and years’ of habits that have taken roots in your body? (Photo credit)

Addictive thinking

Most of us are addicted to certain substances and behaviors. It doesn’t matter if the substance is legal or not (that’s another aspect of the problem) — if you are conditioned to do / eat whether you really want to or not, then you are addicted.

All addiction share one common patten of thinking: It tries to justify itself. Whether your addiction is to drugs, alcohol, sugar, caffeine, or something more specific like hamburgers or fries or chocolate or ice cream, while the substance and the behavior pattern is in you, you are not really making your own decisions. Your addiction is making your decisions.

So, in order to make your own decision, you need to detox yourself. Otherwise, it will be like, “Okay, I’m going to eat meat. Let’s collect all the supporting data that justifies meat eating. Which famous spiritual leaders eat meat? Which nutritionists support meat?” Pretty soon, you do have a very strong argument how wonderful meat is.

My experiment with caffeine

Let me explain by example. I used to drink a small coffee almost every day. I could say I didn’t particularly like coffee, but I was in the habit of going to coffee shops anyway.

To find out if caffeine is really okay or not for me, I decided to stay away from it for a while. In theory, there are both studies that supports caffeine and cautions its negative effects on health. And as long as I keep drinking coffee, I naturally tend to listen to comforting opinion that says caffeine is fine. Further, I have no problem making a long list of famous coffee drinkers who seem to be quite fine.

But none of such things really matter. The best, most fair way to find out my truth with caffeine is to distant myself from it.

If I felt no change without caffeine, at least it’s not doing any wrong. If I felt better without caffeine, then I know caffeine is not good for me. If I felt bad without caffeine, then I need to figure out if it’s withdrawal symptoms or deficiency symptoms.

For withdrawal symptoms to calm down, it usually takes two to four weeks, so I decided to stay away from caffeine at least two weeks. No coffee, no tea, no soda, no chocolate.

Bam. I had horrible headache in the first few days of withdrawal. Then, it cleared like a magic. By the end of two week experiment, I didn’t even think about coffee.

In this case, it was obvious that the initial negative effect was withdrawal symptoms. And if a substance gives withdrawal symptoms, we know it is not good for our physical and emotional health.

How to do find out if a certain food is affecting you or not

So whether it’s meat, dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, sugary foods, or specific junk foods, the best way to find out the true effects of the food on YOU is to stay away from it for at least two weeks. Come on, I’m not saying forever. You can always go back to your old eating habit if you so decide.

Think of it as an experiment, not a diet change.

Now if the food in question is addictive, you are likely to have withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Deal with it one day at a time. It’s only for two weeks. Or you may be ready to go without it, like me waking up to be vegetarian one day, with no cravings or withdrawal symptoms.

Major detox

If you are more ambitious, you might want to do a major detox to cleanse your system. This will reset your overall food preference.

Water fasting would be ideal because it insulates you from all kinds of foods and their effects. Second best would be juice fasting. Third best would be to eat only vegetables with limited amount of carb vegs and fruits. (There is practically zero evidence that low carb vegetables such as greens can have negative effects on our health.)

You might want to use detox supplements like this along with controlling the food intake. Detox bath, such as adding 1 – 2 cups epsom salt, may help, too.

I’m currently doing the third option (eating plant foods only, paired with supplement and occasional detox bath).

What happens when you eat “bad” food when your system is clean

Here is an anecdote you can take amusement from. And a caution.

I ate cheesecake two days ago. I finally completed the draft of my eBook, so I was in a mood for celebration, and . . . my mind led me to cheesecake. Old habit dies hard.

It didn’t taste as good as I though it would. Oh, well.

Next morning, I had terrible stomachache. And embarrassing trips to bathroom. My head felt cloudy, and I had to take a nap afterwards. Ouch!

I didn’t have such a reaction when I was eating dairy often. It means my system is getting clean that even a bit of nasty stuff can cause major results. This is good — this way, my system is protecting itself. But it’s uncomfortable.

(Just to let you know — I know the cheesecake wasn’t spoiled. If it were, my system would have rejected it at the mouth, by automatically spitting it out, or at least at the stomach, by vomiting. I know this because my system does this with most of the fish sold in America or non-organic milk.)

Think about it — if you ingest a slightly toxic substance, which would be an effective way to protect your system, quickly getting rid of it or doing nothing? In the latter, the toxin stays in your system, your liver has to work hard, and still most of the toxins accumulate in your system. (And you may have though I’m the “weak” “sensitive” type. . . the truth is I’m healthier than the people who are okay with compromised foods.)

Detoxing and freeing your mind

The important point is this is not just about physical health. As I said in the beginning of this article, this is about freeing our mind. When we are physically addicted, our mind is addicted as well.

And my experience says detoxing the mind takes even longer than detoxing the body. My body is already out of cheesecake – the sugar and fat just don’t taste very good any more. But the conditioning in my mind still led me to have one. (Okay, lesson’s learned.)

How does our belief affect our health?

Just one more thing. Dr Bruce Lipton makes a big point about the placebo effect in his book The Biology of Belief. So, are all the effects of good eating really coming from our mind? For instance, raw food diet is all the rage now. There are so many stories of miraculous healing with raw foods, from obesity to cancer and other degenerative diseases.

Is it really raw foods that’s doing the good (physically), or is it because we hear these wonderful stories about raw foods and believe in them that bring out the miracles?

I don’t really know. I’d say, if it’s a positive effect, I care little if the cause was purely physical (foods) or belief. Or the mix of both.

I do think we are wise to be careful with negative beliefs. So if you are going to eat something that’s supposed to be no good to your health, have complete belief that the food is good for you. If you have any doubt or hesitation, even in the subconscious level, it can negatively affect you.

Dr Lipton says, in one of the YouTube video, “Belief is like pregnancy. You either believe or not.” Wanting to believe is not belief. Belief is simple and clear.

If you don’t 100% believe your food is good for you, you might want to change your eating habit.

So what do you think? Did this article inspire you to quit any foods or habits that you are addicted to? Please share in the comment.

Update: Here is a great article that beautifully explains the emotional side of food addiction. I think it helps a lot to understand our relationship with foods.

Physicality and spirituality are one. Quantum physics finally found it. On the sub-atomic quantum level, matter and energy are one. They are interchangeable, and they are both at the same time.

I’m no scientist, but I can see it, as so many others have before the scientific discovery — science is only catching up and still has a long way to fully comprehend this connection.

So we can improve our physical health with spiritual awareness or sharpen our awareness with physical behavior changes. Physical behavior as mundane and everyday as eating. (Photo credit)

My quest for the best way to eat

I’ve been interested in foods all my life. Coming from an old-fashioned family in the old world, I knew foods were not just about numbers such as calorie but also about family and cultural connection, appreciation for nature and others’ labors, and even more importantly, about one’s own sense of love and nurture of their being.

What has confused me is the actual HOW.

Are there better ways to eat? For instance, is vegetarianism better for our health and spirituality than carnivorism? I got strong responses to that post. One commenter insisted on the health benefit of eating meat and how vegetarianism didn’t work for her. I respect her experience and opinion. I’d say, however, if you are eating meat, please choose humanely raised and slaughtered meat (most meat on the market is not). There is even a book called The Compassionate Carnivore. I don’t know much about farming practices, and if this commenter or the author of this book feel good, both emotionally and physically, about eating meat, that’s fine.

I’ve also been reading about and experimenting with raw foods (raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds) because I think it may have a lot to do with developing lightbody. The sun grows plants. Animals eat plants. So I wondered if eating closer to the sun may help in the transition.

Now I’m still learning, but I’d like to share some of my experiences in my quest for the ultimate eating habit.

My background

A lot of things have happened since I had the Ascension soul shift in January this year, including changes in my eating preference. Before I discuss my recent adventures and learning, I want to talk where I was before this.

I was eating some meat. A lot less than typical Americans eat, however. I probably ate average of 3 ounces (85 gram) a day, typically in soups, stir fries, omelet, etc. And I chose organic meat whenever I could, and most of the meat was poultry.

I would have been happier to eat fish, but when I was living in Ohio and Tennessee, fresh fish was hard to find even at specialty market, so I learned to steer away from it.

I also ate eggs and dairy (fermented dairy like cheese and yoghurt) regularly.

And I had fair amount of sugary foods. I have sweet tooth, I admit. And having coffee with biscotti or pastry was a way to relax for me.

I never had sodas. And I don’t remember when was the last time I had any alcoholic drinks. Being so small (5’1”), alcohol works really fast on me, and I never really liked it. Of course, no drugs.

I woke up to find myself vegetarian

One day in January, I found that I just couldn’t eat meat any longer. The idea felt bad, and on the few occasions I (my ego) made myself eat meat, I got sick. Pretty soon, eggs and dairies dropped off my shopping list as well.

I was curious what I could safely eat from here on, so I looked around the bookstores and the internet. It wasn’t long before I found the concept of eating raw. I made some attempts to eat this way — at first, it was hard because it triggered my sugar craving. Something was very intriguing about eating raw, however, so I kept trying. . .

I increased my raw rate in the last few months. I also quit caffeine. This started as a simple experiment. I read both positive and negative opinions about caffeine, so I thought I just see it for myself. “Let’s get off caffeine for a while to see how I feel.” I got a horrible headache in the first several days of no coffee, no tea, no chocolate. That made me think. If I have withdrawal symptoms like this, maybe caffeine is no good. So I never went back.

The pitfalls in discussing eating habit

I think we often get caught up in discussing eating habit because we focus so much on the WHAT. Like: is meat okay to eat or not? Is plant-based foods better than animal-based? This is an easy way to be confused with judgment calls.

My feeling is that, the timing we eat, the amount we eat, and the manner and attitude we eat all matters just as much as the kind of foods we eat. Further, there are related issues like how we eliminate waste (elimination is as important as assimilation), how we breathe (we cannot assimilate foods without oxygen. In a sense, breathing is more fundamental than eating — we eat only a few times a day, but we never stop breathing), and how we use our body (exercise and more). Discussing only about what to eat is a big mistake.

Quantum Eating by Tonya Zavasta

I found a book titled Quantum Eating: The Ultimate Elixir of Youth. The author, Tonya Zavasta, is a raw food advocate. What’s interesting about this book, despite her quirky writing style, is she talks a lot more than the WHAT of eating raw.

Tonya Zavasta supports caloric restriction diet (CR). Caloric restriction diet is not a new idea — there are many lab studies which show how eating less contributes to the longevity and wellness of the animals. She also insists on eating in the morning and dry fasting from 2 pm to the next day’s breakfast.

Whoa! Now that’s a challenge big enough to embrace. ^_^

I’m glad I read this book because, even though I read a few articles on calorie restriction diet, I never read about someone who has been practicing it for many years. She says her caloric intake is less than her caloric output. And from the tone of her writing, I guess her weight is stable. So she is getting energy from somewhere other than foods — light / prana.

(What I don’t understand is why she doesn’t move forward to become a breatharian. She knows digestion is taxing to our body. She can already assimilate energy from non-food source. It would be a logical next step to reduce the food intake further to ultimately go 100% on light.)

She also maintains the body that has been on raw foods for a long time is significantly different. For instance, she says her white blood count is low. Not because she has leukemia but because her body is so cleansed that there is little reason her immune system need to build so many white bloods.

Is there an ultimate way to boost your health and spirituality?

So. Do I have a recommendation on how to eat your way to health and spirituality? No for two reasons. One, because each of us is unique. What works for me or for some authority may not work for you. Two, because I think the search and the learning in it is just as important for your growth as the practice of your ultimate eating.

Having said this, I can share my current eating plan. Remember, this is something in progress — I might change my plan, and I may deviate from my plan. So this is strictly for your reference and amusement only. And again, I’m not saying this is the ultimate way to eat.

How I eat now

Breakfast
Green smoothie (say, one banana, some blueberries, one cup of kale and cilantro mix)

Mid morning snack
Quarter cup of sprouted pumpkin seeds
Maybe some more fruits, like an apple.

Lunch
Green soup (say, a small avocado, a small zucchini, one cup spinach, some dried sea vegetable, salt, cayenne)
Raw crackers or Manna bread (sprouted grain bread)

Mid afternoon snack
I might have a Larabar or another smoothie (maybe fruit smothie)

Dinner (Yes, I’m still eating dinner at this time)
Salad (a big handful of salad mix, a small tomato, lemon tahini dressing)
A glass of hemp protein mix

Lunch is the largest meal. Even when I was eating the old way, I found that, if I eat substantial lunch, I don’t eat much later and felt better.

Thoughts on nutrition

I’m taking hemp protein mix to supplement my protein intake. When hemp? Because I’m not interested in whey (milk protein) and I don’t hear good things about soy. I admit I cringed and resisted the idea at first — hemp? Are you telling me to drink drug? But no, the hemp sold as food or supplement has no chemical that alters your mood and perception.

Some say hemp is a complete protein. I checked it here, and it turns out hemp lacks the essential amino acid lysine, just like most grains and nuts protein. So this is where pumpkin seeds come into. (Other good plant sources of lysine are beans, buckwheat, quinoa, and amaranth. The last three are treated like grains, but they are really grass seeds, like pumpkin seeds. Eating amaranth raw is supposed to be no good.)

The above menu provides 40 gram of protein, which is just what I need. Nutritional Data has a tool to find out your personal nutrition requirement. My plan also fills most of the bill of my other nutritional requirements (including calorie, so this is not CR), but I’m taking supplements of multi, calcium, and iron / vitamin B12 to be sure. I choose supplements that is made of foods. For instance, most calcium supplements are ground limestone. I don’t like the idea of eating rocks, so I choose supplement that utilizes a certain kind of algae.

Let your body make the final decision on food and nutrition

However, I don’t believe in the idea of absolute nutritional requirements we must follow. I think all these requirements are guidelines, and we are best to check with our own body to decide what and how much we eat. Because nobody knows exactly what happens when foods enter YOUR body. Each of us has different metabolism.

For me, I was suffering from cranker-sore like dry lips before I started taking lysine rich foods. So this tells me something was lacking in my diet, and Nutritional Data website was a great resource to find the right foods for this essential amino acid.

I steer away from sugar for the same reason, because my body doesn’t seem to respond well. When I eat sweets, I feel dried up later. And it’s a weird thirst that water doesn’t seem to quell. (My last blood test said I have nothing to worry about diabetes.) When I don’t eat sugar, I feel fine.

Change of my taste

I might also add that my taste is changing. Cooked foods just don’t taste so good when I do eat them occasionally. Even dehydrated “raw” bars don’t taste so good — an apple tastes a lot better. So I’m into simple, primitive style raw foods, not gourmet raw foods. (What an irony — I used to be an accomplished cook.)

Going forward, I might try fasting, maybe next spring. Spring is the most natural season to detox. I want to bring changes gradually although my body seems to be doing its own thing at its pace.

Effects on my health and spirituality

In a sense, my body is guiding my awareness in what to eat and how much. Now the question is “Is this way of eating helping me in my health and spirituality?”

Health, yes. I didn’t have any serious diagnosis before, but I had minor annoyances. For instance, I use to wake up every night to go to bathroom. This seldom happens these days — I sleep through until morning. (I guess you may be wondering about my age. I’m 48. The picture on the sidebar is from four years ago. I’m sorry it’s dated — I will see if I can get new photos taken soon.)

I also had dry eye. My eye doctor told me to use moisturizing eye drops several times a day. I don’t need it these days. I also feel well rested and relaxed, but this may be not just about my eating but also my quieter environment after I moved a month ago.

The effect on my spirituality is harder to measure. I do feel more peaceful and loving in a stable way.

howtoascend
Interestingly enough, no one so far asked this direct question: So how do we ascend toward Light?

As Akashic Record Reading specialist, I can observe how a soul ascend. I cannot make you ascend, however. What I can do is to share my personal thoughts on what is going on and what you can do about it.  (Photo credit)

Ascension symptoms

First of all, you do not need to know the word “Ascension” nor anything about it to ascend. The Ascension soul shift (new soul coming in to replace the old) happens like the first period — when the timing comes, it happens. Having said this, it helps to learn a little about it in advance so you know what is happening to you. Proper knowledge reduces unnecessary fear and anxiety. (Okay, if you are a man, just replace that word “first period” with your equivalent.)

So here is a list of Ascension symptoms you may recognize:

  • Abrupt loss of interest in the people and things that held your interest before.
You simply cannot do that job any longer, or tolerate that person any more. Done.
  • Strange wanderlust or urge to relocate.
You may just * know * where you need to be.
  • Inner need to simplify life.
“Why the heck am I carrying around this much of junk? I don’t even remember why I wanted them.” is a common sentiment. Declutter and donate your stuffs to Good Will. You may also get the urge to detox your own body.
  • Sudden change in food preference.
In my case, I woke up and found myself vegetarian. My body decided not to take meat any more (without consulting me, really). And a few times I persuaded and had some meat, I had to go to the bathroom quickly. Within a few months, eggs and dairy dropped off my shopping list as well. I now eat very close to Earth — vegetables and fruits.
  • Sudden change in the taste to dress and decorate.
With my Asian coloring, I know I look elegant in black dress — just add a bit of white and accent color, and voila! I look so good. I know this is still true, but I simply can’t bring myself to wear black any more. I love colors. These days, I dress like a crazy boho. Same with interior decoration. I used to love the serene Asian taste, with dark wood furniture. They started to look so dark, so when I moved, I dumped them, and bought the cheap white ready-to-assemble furniture at Target with color boxes. Aaaaah!
  • Some people report having a sudden “spiritual awakening,” accompanied with the feeling of clarity and empowerment.
  • Feeling spacy and detached from the rest of the world.
  • Getting harder and harder to follow conventional thinking.
“What the heck do I care (to keep up with the Jones, to stay in the status, to be organized and considerate, etc.)”
  • Absolute need to rest and relax.
  • Feeling younger or childlike.
In fact, your friends may notice you look younger.
  • Urge to do what you like to do.
Again, like a small kid. Being in the joy becomes increasingly important to you, replacing other priorities.
  • Change in sexual drive.
Overall, I think the drive decreases but there may be periods of bouts. When you are happy just the way you are, there is not much need to seek out sexual pleasures.
  • Change in sleep patterns.
Sometimes you wake up at 3 or 4 am every night and okay with it. Sometimes you sleep 10 hours or take a long nap.
  • Physical symptoms such as ringing in the ear, change in vision (sometimes daily), or strange itching and twitching around the body.
  • And some report switching back and forth between the new way and the old way. Well, this can happen if you don’t allow yourself to be in the new way.

Each person’s sensitivity is different. An analytical soul, such as Alpha Centaurians or Blueprint Technicians, may notice little change while some souls may be wondering “What the world has happened to me?”

And these are not temporary symptoms. With Ascension soul shift, this is going to be your new way, so you are best to embrace the changes.

Ascension soul shift as rebirth

With Ascension soul shift, your existing soul crosses over without the physical death. And you receive a new version of soul. So it’s a way of being born again. What is great is we retain the body and the knowledge we have accumulated.

It’s like a software upgrade. With certain computer software, say Microsoft Money, you are offered a new version — Year 2009 version, for instance. It’s the same software — it’s not Microsoft Word. But it’s brand new and runs faster. All the learnings in the past have been incorporated into the new version.

You are the same person, yet you are new. So the best way to go around is to embrace the new you rather than resisting it.

Ascension soul shift is just the beginning

Because I can observe the soul shifts, I tend to think of Ascension from that perspective, but I know this is not all. Far from it. Ascension soul shift is just the beginning of Ascension process.

And where are we headed to? Becoming a lightbody and achieving immortality is one possibility. Remembering the various psychic / supernatural / extrasensory abilities we possess is another. And together, we are creating the New World, or the new version of heaven on Earth.

How to ascend

The way to ascend, then, is:

  • To be open to this change, the shift of ages, the Ascension.
  • To increase the vibration by aligning more with Divine Love, Light, Truth, Abundance and Power.
  • To embrace the changes including Ascension soul shift.
  • To live in the Now.

Being open is fundamental. We all have free will, and even if you are ready to ascend, if you refuse to do so, then you won’t. Lightworkers respect everyone’s free will.

Regarding how to increase the alignment with the five energy flows of Love, Light, Truth, Abundance, and Power, I’ve already written more than 10,000 words in the New World series, so I’m not going to repeat it here. The first post of the series, about Love, is here. Each of the five quality has a post and the post comes with action plans at the end, so please read them.

Ascension is about change. And you are not going to change when you cling onto your past. So the last two points, embracing the changes and living in the Now, are really the same thing.

Ascension is not about the future

Some of us get hang up with the anticipation of Ascension. I was that way only a while ago. This is, however, counterproductive. Ascension happens in the Now, not in the future. Or more accurately, Ascension is about breaking the illusion of time.

Ascension is a natural process, and you will be guided to do what you need to do. In a sense, you don’t have to try to ascend at all. Again, it comes like the period. You cannot help it. What you might want to do is to take good care of yourself, be in the joy, be in the Now, and be the Love and Light.

By the way, some readers pointed out that the Ascension symptoms resemble kundalini awakening. I’m not a yogi, so I don’t really know, but I’m sure spiritual practices like yoga and meditation are helpful.

Ascension is not about condemning physical body in favor of the spirituality

It’s true that many of us get the strong feeling that we are so “done”. Combined with the common myth in spiritual community that this physical world is something inferior to the spiritual world, it’s easy to start thinking that Ascension is about leaving this world, to be out of our physical body, to go somewhere better, be it called higher dimension or something else.

Wrong. We don’t ascend to the higher dimension. We are bringing in the higher dimension right here. There is no point in condemning our physical body and our life in this physical world because we are developing right in this body. Rather, Ascension is about mastering both the physical and spiritual lives and integrating them to one.

How to develop Lightbody

As you may have noticed, I’ve been learning about physical immortality recently. Which , I now understand, is the same thing as developing lightbody.

So how do you develop your lightbody? By the same way you ascend, by embracing your inner divinity.

I want to repeat one thing here. Don’t get so hang up about the future. If you keep thinking whether you can achieve immortality, whether you will die or not, then you will. Because your attention, your energy, is on death.

I personally don’t really care if I live forever or not. Some people say death is the dingy backdoor to heaven, and we should aim to enter there through the front door, by achieving immortality. I don’t really care which door I get to or when. I care how I’m doing Now — maybe the heaven can come to me rather than me driving up there. (Akemi driving is generally not a great idea. . .:) )

Some people say death is the ultimate source of fear. I doubt it. If the idea of “There will be no death” excites you, that’s great, because feeling good is critical. So for those of you, the idea of physical immortality works really well. For me, death looks like a revolving door. Just don’t leave any slippery stuff in front of it.

I’m not saying physical immortality is impossible or a bad idea. It’s a great idea that expands our consciousness, and I’m learning a lot from Janni, Robin and Kathy. I think everything they say relates to what I call Ascension. And I’m pretty sure they agree that immortality is not about the future, it’s about Now.

Do you have any questions about Ascension? I love questions, so shout at me in the comment!

blueprinters
Our souls have blueprints and so does the planet Earth. I’m going to write three posts in this Starseeds series about Blueprinters who are responsible for these blueprints.

Honestly, I feel a bit nervous about this because I’m a Blueprinter myself. There is a certain stigma in writing about one’s own kind. But people have been emailing me about Blueprinters that I guess it’s easier for me to just write these posts. . .

Blueprinters form a big group and so it makes sense to divide them into subgroups. They are:

  • Blueprint Originators
  • Blueprint Designers
  • Blueprint Technicians
  • Blueprint Deliverers
  • Blueprint Changers

This is how I learned it, and it makes sense at least to some extent (although I don’t like some of the naming) so I keep using this system.

Just so you know, Susann Taylor Shier divides Blueprinters into the following three subgroups in her book Soul Mastery: Accessing the Gifts of Your Soul:

  • Blueprint Originators
  • Blueprint Translators
  • Blueprint Deliverers

I’m not going to discuss which system is better or exactly how each subgroup corresponds in another system. Depending on the perspective, there can be various ways to subdivide a group. So if you are interested in learning more about Blueprinters, this book may be good for you.  (Photo credit)

Where did the Blueprinters come from?

Blueprinters come from a place or dimension that is not in our current frame of reference in the universe. They do not come from a specific star system like most other starseeds do. In this, Blueprinters resemble Mission Realmers. However, we at least have a name for the Mission Realmers’ home: the angelic realm. Blueprinters’ home is a complete mystery, and we don’t know how they came to Earth.

So there is a higher level of mystery about Blueprinters. One way to explain is that, when God intended to create Earth as an experimental playground, Blueprinters received the divine mundane and worked on it. First, Blueprint Originators came up with the overall concepts. Blueprint Designers worked on the aesthetic aspects of the plan. Blueprint Technicians worked on the technical specs, such as the chakra system. Then Blueprint Deliverers delivered the blueprint, and they keep re-delivering. Blueprint Changers are like Blueprint Deliverers but specialize in the follow up service.

The common theme among Blueprinters is that they know the blueprints on the deeper level. It doesn’t mean Blueprinters can tell the technical specifications like an auto repair guy does, but Blueprinters have a clear sense of how things were originally intended to be here.

The Earth experiment

This Earth is a special playground where souls can incarnate in the physical bodies to exercise our creative power in a tangible way. It’s meant to be an exciting and fun experiment. But there has been a lot of negative influences and many people live in fear as a result. Blueprinters feel these issues in the Earth experiment strongly.

And many Blueprinters are working to restore the original blueprints. This, however, means they are likely to get attention from the negative souls. Some Blueprinters have very challenging lives especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships.

Blueprint Originators and Designers

I’m going to explain Blueprint Originators and Designers together here because they are closely related and also, I believe they are relatively small groups. In the next post about Blueprinters, I will discuss Blueprint Technicians, which is a large subgroup and quite unique. Then, on the third post about Blueprinters, I will talk about Blueprint Deliverers and Changers because they are related.

All Blueprinters are visionaries, but especially Blueprint Originators and Designers. Blueprint Originators are the ones who came up with the concept of Earth experiment. Some of my Akashic Record Reading clients who turn out to be Blueprint Originators or Blueprint Designers have very few past lives. They’ve been watching the Earth for eons of time — just watching with love, not intending to incarnate themselves — but finally, got so frustrated about the deviations that they decided to be here as physically incarnated humans. (And then, there are some Blueprint Originators who are really old souls.)

As soon as they incarnate, however, they are subject to the same physical rules we all are. This is very hard for Blueprint Originators. I guess the plan was, they incarnate, live life happy and well, lead by example so that other souls can come back to the original blueprint. Blueprint Originators are not so “hands-on” about repairing the glitches. And despite their great intentions, this physical world is so tough and overwhelming for them that some Blueprint Originators get discouraged and even start forgetting their own power, becoming like embittered outcast or hermits.

I guess the physical reality must be just as hard for Blueprint Designers, but they seem to handle it differently. They are big on creating whatever they think good and beautiful. Unlike Blueprint Originators, Blueprint Designers are in the “doing” and super busy. Creation in this physical world takes some time and work. Also, Blueprint Designers worked between Blueprint Originators and Technicians, so they are quite good at coordinating people and projects.

I was told Blueprint Designers don’t incarnate so often these days, but I have seen — well, not many, but quite a few. They seem to be more comfortable in this physical world and “practical” — as practical as Blueprinters can be.

Blueprinters’ ideal

The ideal all Blueprinters share is to restore the original blueprints, the blueprint of love and creative joy. How each subgroup goes around for this ideal may look different.

Again, Blueprint Originators want to lead by example and gentle guidance. Blueprint Designers like to get to the actual creation — whether it’s artwork, writing and communication, or some business enterprise.

Blueprinters’ gifts

The common gifts all Blueprinters bring to this world is the intuitive understanding of the original blueprints. Blueprinters know poverty, dis-ease, hate, fear, and all kinds of struggles are abnormalities.

The memory of the original blueprints includes our extrasensory and psychic abilities. We are capable of seeing, hearing, and feeling what is not physically in front of us. We are capable of knowing the information we don’t have physical access to, such as information about a person we never met or information about the future. We are capable of immediate telepathic communication. There are so much more — but we have forgotten how to do these things.

Blueprinters have the same “veil” like everyone else, so not all Blueprinters can do these things at this time. But Blueprinters at least remember these things are very possible.

Blueprinters’ challenges in loving relationships

For Blueprint Originators, and probably also for Blueprint Designers, human emotions are difficult. This can be especially true in loving relationships in which the illusion of separation and limitation play out.

“Why does he (or she) act out so insecurely? Why doesn’t he understand I love him?” A Blueprinter may wonder. I’m not talking about some silly mind game — people acting out with insecurity is truly a source of bewilderment for Blueprinters.

This doesn’t mean Blueprinters are the masters of their own emotions. On the contrary, Blueprinters get baffled with their own emotions as well. Our emotions have a lot to do with our physical bodies, such as hormones, which are foreign to many Blueprinters.

Add to that the Blueprinters’ tendency to attract negative souls. Building happy relationships is a challenge for Blueprinters. I guess the key is detachment and tending to bigger, unconditional love. The resulting relationship of this may not look like a typical romantic relationship, but you know, Blueprinters are not here to fit into the conventional norm, we are here to bring back the original blueprints. . .

Blueprinters’ challenges in career and finance

As I’ve been saying, Blueprint Originators are rather reserved. They tend to be an observer of life rather than an active participant. So a challenge like starting their own business is a big deal, and if they ever do so, I think they do it more with a sense of service rather than for themselves. Or they may just sit in the cubicle, trying to help others in the grass-root approach.

Blueprint Designers don’t always become designers nor necessarily go into arts. Creativity is a lot more than that. They may start a business that is very new, like a business that offers new methods or approaches. Or they may go into music or literature. And of course some Blueprinter Designers haven’t found their special niche yet. . .

Oh, and money? I don’t think Blueprinters care about money all that much. Deep inside, we know we can simply create abundance.

Blueprinters’ role on Earth

We often talk about Ascension as a new movement, the arrival of the new era. However, we can also see it as the restoration of the original beautiful plan, the return of the golden age. So Blueprinters have special contributions in this movement.

Personally, I have a sense of urgency about Ascension. We’ve gotta get it up and running, soon. This may be why so many Blueprinters present themselves in my Akashic Record Reading practice. They know they need to dump their own baggage to work effectively in this movement.

If you are a Blueprinter reading this post, please let me know what you think. I’m being super careful not to put my personal bias into this, but at the same time, concerned I may be trying too hard at this and not putting enough of myself here. What is your experience of being a Blueprinter?

And if the idea of Blueprinters are new to you, don’t hesitate to ask questions in the comment!

gratitude

Yeah, new home! As I wrote in this post, I just moved to Eugene, and I love it. It’s like Portland, but made more compact, less crowded, and easy to handle. I’ve been enjoying myself just driving around and exploring the town. I’m so full of gratitude! (Photo credit)

saturday-market-0909

This picture is my loot from a trip to Saturday Market. The stuff in the brown bag behind the little bonsai tree are wild huckleberries. They were like blueberries without the star-shaped ends. Then there are beets, new apples, a tomato, salad mix, and lip balm made of honey.

Eugene Saturday Market has a rule of “Sellers are makers.” So these are all local products. The market presents probably a hundred or so booths that cover several blocks in downtown, selling not only produce but also hand-crafted cosmetics, clothes, jewelries, artwork, etc. And it’s only five miles from my place, and downtown parking is free on weekends. So sweet.

September in Review

I didn’t post so often this month. I love my post about soul’s purpose. I also enjoyed interviewing Janni about physical immortality. Thank you, Janni!

I will resume my Starseed series next month, this time about Blueprinters.

Further, I appeared at two of my favorite blogs. Evita shared her experience of my Akashic Record Reading. If you’ve been thinking of having my reading but just wasn’t sure, please check it out.

And Lisa, the mommy mystic, interviewed me about Akashic Records, Ascension, and 2012. Thank you, Evita and Lisa!

Fun

Do you get to have fun? Like you did as a little child?

When I do Spirit Guides Coaching, quite a few spirit guides urge us to be more like a child. As children, we had better intuition, and by nurturing our inner child, we can develop our intuition.

Sadly, many of us forget what it was like to be a child. Now my friends Kim and Jason, who specialize in the art of being childlike and gave us an excellent interview last year, published a new book called “There’s An Adult In My Soup”. It’s packed with great ideas on how to get in touch with our inner child and regain the sense of wonder and passion. Thank you for a delightful book!

Challenges

I got off caffein earlier this year. Now I’m trying to get off sugar completely.

When I quit caffein (coffee, tea, and chocolate — I never had soda anyway), I had weird headache for several days, but once it cleared, I never went back. I even wonder why I had coffee every day. (Chocolate was a bit different because it’s also about sugar.)

Getting off sugar (and other sweeteners) seems to be harder. It’s in so many stuffs, and as I get low on sugar and therefore more sensitive to any sugar intake, even a tiny bit of sugar seems to whack me off balance. I’m looking forward for the day that I’d wonder, “Why did I crave sugar anyway?”

My gratitude to those who sent me supportive tweets when I was quitting caffeine — please support me in this new no sugar challenge, too. Thank you.

Lucky Synchronicities

I made a day trip to Ashland just for fun last Thursday. When I opened my door early morning, there was a group of wild turkeys strolling, so I got the camera out right away.

wild-turkeys-092409

Oh, how was Ashland? It’s a cute little town. The vegetation changes in southern Oregon, so it felt more like California than Oregon to me. It’s also a tourist town, with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival being so big there. Nice place, but I don’t see myself living there. I love the redwoods around here.

A year ago at Yes to Me

That’s when I started the five post series called Inside Out Approach To Entrepreneurship. This year, I’ve been working on an eBook called Lightworkers Guide To Self-Employment. Feels like a deja-vu of some sort.

Where in the blogosphere Akemi has been

So I’ve been exploring the idea of physical immortality. If we are spiritually immortal, can we be physically immortal as well? Why and why not? And in such a timely manner, Kathy Dobson started a new blog called Physically Immortal. Her first post is about open mind, which is essential if you want anything new and valuable. So whether you want to live forever or not, do check it out — it’s a great reading.

Word of month

A grown-up is someone who is done growing. — Jason Kotecki from the aforementioned book

And when you are done growing — when we stop exploring, when we stop asking questions, when we close our mind — we become obsolete. It’s death, if not physically, then symbolically. Don’t go there. Hey, this resonates perfectly with the idea of physical immortality ;)

How did you spend this beautiful month of September? Let me know in the comments ^_^

jannilloyd
I first learned about Dr Janni Lloyd and her philosophy on physical immortality at my friend Robin’s blog Let’s Live Forever. I was intrigued and read her discussions on Oprah’s website (the link is provided later in the interview).

Today I’m excited to interview her here. Whether you currently think physical immortality is possible or not, please take note because she has a lot to offer for our spiritual development — which is tied to our physical being.

Dr Janni Lloyd’s background

Akemi:  Janni, I am honored to have you here at Yes to Me for the interview.  I am also very excited to learn more about physical immortality.

Well, first things first. I wrote about you in my article about death and immortality, but I guess most readers don’t know you yet.  Will you introduce yourself to Yes to Me readers, please?  I heard you were a medical doctor before you turned to alternative health.  What is your background?

Janni: Yes, I was a medical doctor in general practice then I moved into Aura Soma therapy. I was always very interested in the psyche and emotions and how they were involved in dis -ease. I have been giving seminars on physical immortality philosophy for several years now, have written a paper entitled Physical Immortality - the mass possibility and am currently writing a book called ‘The Fun Way of Physical Immortality Philosophy’. I also love raising awareness on the internet and connecting with people all over the world, so thanks for this opportunity.

Is death inevitable?

Akemi: I guess most people see death as inevitable.  But from the medical perspective, are there reasons we must die, except in situations like disease, accidents, murder, or war?

Janni: If we take out disease, accidents, murder and war – all we have left is ‘aging’ which is a very vague collection of symptoms…  Gerontologists have not been able to determine the precise markers that define biological age.  We tend to put into the ‘aging’  symptom box things like memory problems – read Harvard psychologist Ellen Langers book Counterclockwise: Mindful Health and the Power of Possibility and you’ll think again about that one and most of the others you put into that category.

Gerontologists have developed several different theories of aging.  However they are just that - theories. The human body is amazingly complex. The life intelligence that orchestrated your development from a single cell into a baby is still operating within us and is AWESOME. What if that life intelligence responds to our desires? If we desire our body to rundown and decay, then maybe that’s what we get. What if we are running on a program we can change?

My feeling is that what we call ‘aging’ is actually a chronic dis-ease that we have accepted. Because we believed “death was inevitable” we created a way of fading out of life slowly - “aging”. If we liken our life force to a fully open stream of water - we turned the tap off slowly. Maybe it’s time to challenge this chronic dis-ease by releasing the ‘decay’ program.

Awakening to physical immortality

Akemi: When and how did you first get the idea of physical immortality?

Janni: My deep interest in the psyche and emotions led me to commence meditation in 1992. In October of that year , I had an inner awakening to ‘physical death is a choice’ and chose physical immortality almost immediately. Then the synchronicities began and it wasn’t long before I found How to Be Chic, Fabulous and Live Forever by Sondra Ray. And the synchronicities haven’t stopped, and still take my breath away at times.

Ways to physical immortality

Akemi: In your view, what does it take to achieve physical immortality?  Are there certain requirements physically (such as diet, exercise, lifestyle, etc.), mentally, emotionally, and spiritually?  Or is this about special medical procedure?

Janni: I feel there are many ‘ways’ of physical immortality, each will be as individual as our fingerprint. In my paper ‘Physical Immortality - the mass possibility’ - I share what I feel has enhanced my life force and my knowing.

There are probably some common steps - I certainly feel praise, love and gratitude are important to move to an open, unconditionally loving heart.  As always, I feel the pioneers will use a lot more techniques etc - once the path is more visible to people it will be a lot easier for those who make the choice in times to come.

I feel the medical science pathway is an important one for our awakening. Will we need medical procedures? maybe -  however with the speed of our awakening it’s unlikely.  We’re all in this together and all have valuable pieces of the divine jigsaw puzzle to share - the co - operative whole will bring in greater levels of life for all of humanity.

Immortal body

Akemi: And what does physical immortality look like?  Does our physical body remain basically the same?  I personally tend to think of it as lightbody.  Do you think we will still eat, excrete, sleep?  Will we have reproductive function?

Janni: I feel most of those will remain for a while. And we will only release those things if it is our choice and our joy to do so. I feel in time we will learn to teleport and maybe flit from dimension to dimension - we have eternity, there is no hurry and I love plane travel! …..although a somewhat quicker plane from Australia to just about anywhere would be nice.  lol

Reversing aging

Akemi: You also mentioned about human ability to rejuvenate.  Will you tell us more about this, please?

Janni: Rejuvenation is linked with letting go of the ‘aging’ chronic dis-ease - although some may choose a mature looking body that is flexible and vibrantly healthy. I feel this is the place where I would like to share a wonderful study. This study was done in 1976, by psychologist Ellen Langer and her team at Harvard, it demonstrates the power of the mind to reverse aging. Deepak Chopra describes this study in Ageless Body, Timeless Mind: The Quantum Alternative to Growing Old.

“The subjects, all 75 or older and in good health, were asked to meet for a weeks retreat at a country resort. They were informed in advance that they would be given a battery of physical and mental exams, but in addition one unusual stipulation was placed upon them; they were not allowed to bring any newspapers, magazines, books or family photos dated later than 1959. The purpose of this odd request became clear when they arrived - the resort had been set up to duplicate life as it was 20 years earlier. Instead of magazines from 1979, the reading tables held issues of Life and Saturday Evening Post from 1959. The only music played was 20 years old, and in keeping with this flashback, the men were asked to behave entirely as if the year were 1959. All talk had to refer to events and people of that year. Every detail of their week in the country was geared to make each subject feel, look, talk and behave as he had in his mid 50’s.

During this period, Langer’s team made extensive measurements of the subjects biological age. Gerontologists have not been able to fix the precise markers that define biological age, as I noted earlier, but a general profile was compiled for each man using measurements of physical strength, posture, perception, cognition and short term memory along with thresholds of hearing, sight and taste.

The Harvard team wanted to change the context in which these men saw themselves. The premise of their experiment was that seeing oneself as old or young directly influences the aging process itself. To shift their context back to 1959 the researchers had their subjects wear ID photo’s taken 20 years before - the group learned to identify one another through these pictures rather than present appearance, they were instructed to talk exclusively in the present tense of 1959 (”I wonder if President Eisenhower will go with Nixon next election”); their wives and children were referred to as if they were also 20 years younger; although all the men were retired, they talked about their careers as if they were still in full swing.

The results of this playacting were remarkable. Compared to a control group that went on retreat but continued to live in the world of 1979, the make believe group improved in memory and manual dexterity. They were more active and self sufficient about such things as taking their own food at meals and cleaning up their rooms, behaving much more like 55 year olds than 75 year olds (many had become dependent on younger family members to perform everyday tasks for them).

Perhaps the most remarkable change had to do with aspects of aging that were considered irreversible. Impartial judges who were asked to study before and after pictures of the men detected that their faces looked visibly younger by an average of three years. Measurements of finger length, which tends to shorten with age, indicated that their fingers had lengthened, stiffened joints were more flexible and posture had started to straighten as it had in younger years. The control group also showed some improvements (Langer explained this by the fact that going on a trip and being treated specially made them feel younger too). But the control group actually declined in certain markers such as manual dexterity and finger length. Intelligence is considered fixed in adults, yet over half of the experimental group showed increased intelligence over the five days of their return to 1959, while a quarter of the control group declined in IQ test scores.

Professor Langer’s study was a landmark in proving that the so called irreversible signs of aging could be reversed using psychological intervention.”

This result was achieved in under one week!

Pioneers in physical immortality

Akemi: Do you think there are already people who have achieved immortality?

Janni: Yes.  I feel our body has always had this remarkable potential, we have just been asleep to it. When you remember the awesome and miraculous life intelligence that orchestrated your physical body from a single embryonic cell, that life intelligence is always there and has always been there and just KNOWS how to give us ongoing healthy life - we just needed to wake up to what was right in front of us.

So there will have been those who have woken before. However physical immortality is non hierarchical - most of them would probably not have said much. And humanity as a whole was not ready to wake up - my feeling is that humanity as a whole is now ready.

Is there a dark side to physical immortality?

Akemi: In my home country, Japan, there is a legend of a priestess who lives 800 years (I guess that is pretty close to immortality.) But the legend is a sad one.  She survives all her loved ones and is very lonely.  Life is like a pointless repetition for her.  Do you think there could be negative sides to physical immortality?

Janni: People are always coming and going in our lives, we quite often feel sadness when we are seeing people off at the airport - often tinged with excitement of the stories they may tell us on their return!  Life is always about the filter we interpret and perceive our life through. My feeling is that with many people choosing physical immortality and also how easy it is to make new friends now from all over the world , I don’t feel physical immortality will be lonely or sad.

My experience of physical immortality philosophy in my life has created much interesting creative flow, certainly not pointless repetition. Being the powerful creative beings that we are, if after a couple of hundred years, we did find ourselves ‘bored’ we could always create physical death again! My feeling is that the choice never gets taken away.

Check out the vision of a physically immortal world that I’ve shared in my paper - all feels quite joyful and interesting to me. Your readers may also like to check out my thread in the Oprah community ‘Do you choose life?’

Akemi: I totally agree that life is what we make of it, and we each have a filter. With dark filter, anything can look negative, and the opposite is equally true. I see huge amount of untapped possibilities with life that goes on just as long as we want it.

Physical immortality and Ascension

Akemi: Okay, here is my last question, and for this question I need to explain what I do.  I read people’s soul records (called Akashic Records) and clear the energetic interferences.  I take clients from all over the world because distance doesn’t matter.

Earlier this year, I noticed some people are receiving new souls.  Their vibration rate rose so much that they receive updates from their Higher Self (oversoul).  The new soul is the same kind with the old, but is brand new, with no past lives, and therefore no negative energetic issues carried over from past lives. I call this evolutional phenomena “Ascension soul shift”.  Some people had Ascension soul shift before this year.  And I think this is related to the Earth’s change.

I feel that the mass interest in all things spiritual, including physical immortality, is related to this Ascension.  What do you think?  And do you have any opinion about reincarnation?

Janni: I feel using praise, love and gratitude energies is bringing in GRACE so karma is being transcended. Grace simply erases any ‘baggage’ and grants new perspectives. Maybe what you are seeing is part of the ‘clean slate’ that grace produces.

I feel re-incarnation may well have been our previous way of ‘re-inventing’ ourselves. We can now re-invent ourselves, have many different life experiences and bring out different aspects of our personality without needing to drop our physical body.

Akemi: Interesting. That is how I feel, too, that death and reincarnation had its place and function in human evolution, but we are getting into a new game, to a mostly uncharted sea of possibilities.

Thank you, Janni, for this inspiring and informative interview.

Janni: Thank you Akemi. It’s been an interesting and very enjoyable exchange.

Akemi’s takeaway
I’m impressed at the clarity and empoweredness of Janni. I gather that, if someone chooses physical immortality from the place of fear, like the fear of death, it’s not going to work well, because you’d be caught up in the illusion of duality. Choosing life and immortality is an absolute choice, not a choice on comparison, I think.

I also find it so encouraging that she comes from science background. It’s refreshing to hear ideas that resonate so well from someone with different background.

So what do you think? Please share in the comment.

all-good
I guess the common sentiment we have about life is, “Well, there are good things and bad things that happen in life. We can’t help it. Just enjoy the good and lie low when bad things happen.”

So we are grateful when we receive “good” things like loving relationships, friends and family, foods on the table and the roof over the head, the money that gets these good things, the job — the income source, health, long life, and so on.

And we don’t like “bad” things like loneliness, relationship problems, hunger, poverty, job loss, obesity, illness, disability, aging, and death. We don’t even like thinking about them, and when it happens, we are upset, confused, resentful, and wish they go away ASAP.

This is just natural, right?

The challenge of the hypothesis

My spirit guides challenged me a few weeks ago (the week before my moving, to be exact) with the question, “What if everything that happens to you is good?” I immediately knew this is right, but it took me a while to put it into reason.

“Like EVERYTHING?” You may be thinking. “What is good about a psycho boyfriend / girlfriend, or hopeless poverty, or painful disease?”

Well, yes. They are good because they are great learning opportunities. You didn’t bring it up to reality if they were no good. (Remember you are creating your own life and the world?)

Now when I say “learning opportunities”, there are mainly two things we can learn. One is the life lessons and associated lessons. We don’t have to learn them the hard way, but many of us do choose so. We have discussed this into detail already on this Yes to Me blog.

Another is the crooked thinking patterns we have. These “bad” things are like an alarm going off, “There is something kinked up in you, please take a look!” Alarm is annoying but not bad.

Let me put it this way. God sends us love, love, and more love. Unconditionally. They are all good. But some gifts are a bit different. God may be sending you a bit of herbal medicine or a gift card to chiropractor because God noticed there is something about you that needs care, even if you may not have noticed. And you complain that the medicine tastes bad or you are too busy to go to the chiropractor.

Now I got tested about this hypothesis right away. . .

What is a traffic ticket trying to say?

On my first moving day (I spent two days moving, first doing the move in, then doing the move out with movers carrying my furniture), I was driving on a freeway and just casually tried to change my lane. I guess I wasn’t looking well enough. The car on the fast lane horned, I got back to my lane, and . . . well, the police car was right behind me.

Few things are more embarrassing and annoying than getting a traffic ticket. And seeing an angry cop’s face in the rear-view mirror.

So what is good about this? I need to learn how to drive safe? Well, maybe that’s included, but that’s not all.

After I was released, I was talking to myself. I actually talked aloud in my car because I wanted to see how this worked:

Akemi 1: So what is good about this traffic ticket? This just sucks.

Akemi 2: Well, let’s see. Why do you think it’s bad?

Akemi 1: Because I hate cops.

Akemi 2: He wasn’t too bad. I’d say he treated me quite fairly — he didn’t yell or do something intimidating. He was just doing his job, and even if you don’t like him, so what? It’s not like you have to marry him.

Akemi 1: This is going to be on my driving record. (And on my Akashic Records, too!) And I have to pay the fine.

Akemi 2: Yes, it will take up some of my time, depending on what you want to do with it. We can go to the court or we can just pay it.

Akemi 1: I hate paying the fine! And it’s not just the fine, the auto insurance premium will go up, too, you know.

Akemi 2: Yes, but we can pay.

Akemi 1: I . . . I’m afraid. It will cost a lot. Insurance is expensive.

At this point, I stopped and thought. So aside from the emotional unpleasantness (which is only temporary), what’s really bothering me is the financial concern? Really?

Our hidden fear and why we hold onto it

Now I know that, when we have fear, it’s because we are holding onto it. Most fears are temporary — like, you may get serious fear if another car comes too close to you, but that goes away pretty quickly. And we are holding onto the fear because we are afraid of something else that may come if we let go of the first fear. So in this crooked logic, holding onto the first fear feels safer.

Akemi 2: Are you afraid of becoming poor? But it’s not likely we become poor with one traffic ticket. What is the real issue? Am I getting something by holding onto this fear of poverty?

Akemi 1: . . .

Akemi 2: Does being concerned about money make you feel safe? What’s going to happen if I release this fear of poverty?

The answer that came out of my own mouth surprised me.

Akemi 1: . . . I might become wildly rich.

Gee. Really. But it seems true. Fear of wealth is far bigger than fear of poverty. I wasn’t aware of this before.

Opportunity to examine your fear

Fear of wealth or fear of success is a tricky one. We use lack of money or opportunity as an excuse of not living a great life. I think many of us are secretly afraid of living a full happy life even when we say the complete opposite. It involves a huge responsibility to oneself (to God) to live that way.

Are you doing something similar to what I was doing? Are you afraid of releasing your crazy partner (or afraid of getting out of the pattern of having relationship with crazy partners, therefore switching from one crazy one to another) because without them, you are faced with yourself, and you have no distraction nor excuse not to express your great self and live your life purposefully?

Are you holding onto your health problem and your fear of recovering to great health because, without the health problem, you have little to complain and commiserate, and you are afraid of losing people’s attention? And because you are afraid you may have a miraculous healing power science hasn’t uncovered yet? And again, without the disease, you have no excuse not to live a great life?

I guess I may be upsetting some people especially with the last one. I’m not a doctor and I don’t claim to know your health condition nor your possibility to recover. I do have a feeling many people cling to their condition as an excuse. One of my Spirit Guides Coaching client was this way. Her spirit guides was urging to let go of certain things, but she was absolutely against it. Just to be sure, I asked her about her medical diagnosis, and all she could say was something that happened more than 20 years ago. She was taking full advantage of her (past) health problem and was nowhere near releasing it, even though she insisted the opposite.

So what really happens if everything that happens to you is good?

Then you just have to accept this universe is absolutely benevolent and loving. There is just no way you don’t live as an empowered free soul, expressing your gifts and strengths, and living a full life of love and joy. No point about complaining, fighting, accusing, or even “working on the problem” — we can just go straight to the point and live our life fully.

My feeling is that, in the past, our awareness was not clear enough to see this so we perceived certain things as “bad” based on superficial consequences. However, we are growing up to see the bigger picture.

When our awareness really grows, everything starts to look really good, even without thinking, “Okay, this may be a learning opportunity. . .” We get to be grateful for everything there is. We get to see everything as the divine gifts that they are. That, my friends, is the entrance to the heaven on Earth. (Photo credit)

eugene
It’s been a week since I moved to a little gem of a town called Eugene, Oregon. The whole experience was, in a sense, more fundamentally moving than coming to the U.S. I’m in cultural shock. I’m humbled. I’m amazed. . . (Photo credit)

World migrant gets a surprise

Just to give you an idea, this is where I have lived in my life so far:

  • Japan
  • Sydney, Australia (1 year as a high school exchange student)
  • Columbus, Ohio (10 years)
  • Nashville, Tennessee (3 years)
  • Portland, Oregon (2 years)

The last three are all in the United States, but crossing the Mason-Dixon Line was like crossing an invisible cultural border between the North and the South (it is still referred to as the Union and the Confederate in the South.) And west of the Rockies is quite another, too — I’m pretty sure the west coast states don’t consider themselves as part of the continental America. . . or as part of America at all.

So you would think, for a world migrant like Akemi, moving 100 miles to Eugene is a breeze. Some physical work to do, but emotionally, it’s no big deal, right?

Boy, no way.

The first shock came when I first visited this apartment complex. The leasing manager showed me a few open units. I noticed she just simply open the door without the key, and when we were done, she just closed the door. So I asked if she locked the open units at night and her answer was no.

You know, I’ve been working since I was six years old, and locking up the office and the storage unit was part of my responsibility. Coming to the US, I was told to be even more watchful against potential crimes. And here you are, meeting a middle-aged manager who seems to be quite conventional otherwise, never thinking twice of not locking the apartments. She swears nothing ever happened, even when she had leased furniture inside for corporate relocation.

. . . well, I signed up and now live in one of her townhouse. I still lock my door. . .

I asked for a quiet and peaceful place to live, and I got it

A little background of my moving. I liked where I was, but it was so noisy with the neighbors on both sides and downstairs. (I had an apartment on the top floor.) My intent was to live in a quiet peaceful place where I can rest and work well.

Gee, did I get that.

I now live in a townhouse. No one is above me or below me. It seems to have been built well that I hardly hear my next door neighbors, either.

But it’s not just the lack of someone else’s music and loud conversation. The quality of peacefulness here is beyond expectation.

I’m on a mid-hill on the southwest edge of Eugene. From my living room, I can see the mountains across the valley above the roofs of other houses. There are also some trees, and looking at their leaves quietly moving in the gentle breeze is so calming. Behind all these, the sky is big and close. I can spend the whole morning just looking at the trees, the mountains, and the sky.

Really, I can spend hours just being there. I don’t know how to describe it. I am left speechless. I feel as if I am blending into the whole environment. It’s better than bliss or happiness. In bliss, there is still me.

Driving around the new town

Eugene is such a small town that I can get anywhere in 15 minutes or so (although I live at the edge of town). No heavy traffic. And the directions are so simple. There are only a few roads I need to remember. This is such a relief for me because I’m not very good at finding directions. (By the way, the speed limit is 25 to 35 mph even on major roads. Around schools, it’s 20 mph all day, from 7 am to 5 pm. Why make haste, you know?)

Despite the small size, I find it easier to eat vegetarian (mostly vegan and raw) here. Well, not just vegetarian, how about organic, locally-grown vegetarian? There are some excellent grocery stores that carry stuffs I never saw in Portland. And there are quite a few vegetarian-friendly restaurants. I plan to go to the farmers’ market this weekend.

People are friendly here. I went to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle) this morning. Usually, people at government agencies like this have bad attitude. Not here. The guy at the information desk is more friendly than any customer service person you met.

Honestly I get nervous a bit when I go to this kind of place. Not that I did something wrong, but because of past experiences, I sort of expect unpleasant encounter at these places. I was wrong. I was treated well, and it took less than half an hour. . .

So? Is there a problem?

Kind of. Did you notice what I said in the previous paragraph?

I was expecting problems. In reality, I didn’t get it. And I found myself seeking something else.

What something? Well, pretty much anything. Something I can be concerned about, to be mentally prepared for, something I can bounce in my head and “work” on.

This surprised me. I thought I’ve worked out my addiction to judgments and problems. I know many of us actually like having problems regardless of what we may say, and that is the very reason why we never run out of problems. We have a deep-rooted love and hate relationship with problems. We are addicted to judgments and we keep creating problems by our judgments.

But me? Am I still craving for problems? I am in a beautiful, peaceful new place and enjoying it, right? Or do I still have a tiny bit of discomfort with this level of peace?

This peace is almost numbing. It’s like losing myself. I know losing myself (my ego) is a good thing. But it’s just . . . different. Suddenly, there is hardly any problems out there, so now it’s either I completely accept this peace or I have to seek problems within me. Aaaaaaagh!

Creating our life and the world

We create our own life and the world. Some people describe this “The world is our own mirror.” Then I guess I must have done something good to create such a peaceful place to live for myself. The remaining drama-loving ego gotta go.

I’ll see how this works. And I really wonder why the rest of the world cannot be like this . . . there is no reason it cannot be. When we all wake up and be done with our own addiction to judgements and problems, this world will be transformed to a “heaven on earth.”

souls-purpose
“If our essence is the soul, or the spirit, why did we bother to incarnate in the physical body?” As spirit, there was no pain, no fear, no suffering, and certainly no death, right? Didn’t we know we were better off staying in the spirit world rather than coming to this world?

In other words: What is the purpose and meaning of life?

I’ve written a detailed post on life purpose, and that post is still good, but let me reiterate the issue from a new angle because this is a big, important issue. (photo credit)

Soul’s purpose to enjoy

Yep, this is the main thing. We wanted to enjoy this physical world. We wanted to feel the love and abundance, our power to create and manifest, in this tangible world.

Are you disappointed? Does “enjoyment” sound unimportant or petty? Were you expecting something holier?

Then let me ask you, what is more holier than enjoying, which is synonymous to praising and appreciating the creation (whether you see the creator as God or yourself)? If you think enjoyment is something worthless, you may be caught up with the “Value must come from sacrifice” and “We are no good and we must suppress ourselves” myth.

But, you may say, this world is full of horrible things. We don’t get to enjoy much.

Well, I’m writing another post to show you that perception is misled.   (It’s published now here.)  All the things in this world are good. But even if we accept there are bad things in life, does that decrease your enjoyment? If you believe in bad things, you enjoy the good things even more, don’t you?

If not, it’s probably you not allowing yourself to enjoy — it’s not the bad things preventing you from enjoyment.

And by saying “Our soul’s purpose is to enjoy this life,” I don’t mean we should all spend the rest of our lives lying on the beach. Lying on the beach is enjoyable some of the time, or all the time for some of the people, but not all the time for all of us. I, for one, will be completely bored after a week or so. (Yes, I actually prefer the cool Oregon weather, and most of the time, I like typing up my articles rather than doing nothing.)

Okay, so enjoyment. How do we really enjoy living then?

Soul’s purpose to express itself

By fully expressing our unique gifts and strengths. You enjoy yourself and your life most when you are fully yourself.

If you try to become someone that you are not, your effort is wasted and you feel bad about yourself. Even if you get money or people’s attention this way, you just feel like a fake and you don’t get to enjoy them really. This is the mistaken way to enjoy “love and abundance.”

To really enjoy love and abundance, we first need to love ourselves completely and unconditionally, and to see the abundant and supportive nature of the universe.

We, each one of us, have unique gifts, and the gifts get even better as we go through our unique life experiences. Recognizing our gifts and figuring out how to express them is one of the most important work you do in your life.

So we can say our soul’s purpose is to express ourselves in an authentic way. Which brings true enjoyment.

Soul’s purpose to learn and to help others learn

When we incarnate, we receive the “veil” that make it difficult to know ourselves. It’s a way to enjoy this life game more. It adds the fun of discovery.

So, to get to the place we fully express ourselves and enjoy this life, there are learnings to do. This is often called learning the “life lessons”. Learning the life lessons is part of the soul’s purpose.

I don’t see this learning process goes on indefinitely, however. With Ascension, many souls are completing the “this is the life lessons, here is a plan to learn them in this world, let’s work on this program” style learning.

Sometimes, we volunteer to help others learn. Our souls are so generous! I’ve seen these souls in my Akashic Record Reading — they’ve been relaxing in the spirit world for eons of time, and then decide to come over. Apparently, there is no big reason they “need to” incarnate, but they volunteer to be here.

How specific your soul’s purpose can be

Some people want to be told something like, “Your purpose is to go to Africa to save the starving children.” And they are afraid they’d “fail” in life if they don’t do it. Well, in order to do it, they need to know what their specific purpose is, so they go to psychics for readings.

This is a very poor way to use a psychic. Because, if the psychic (and their spirit guides) is a good one who respects free will, they see the problem of telling clients their specific purpose. We are not order takers and we define our specific path of life. There are many ways you can express yourself and therefore contribute to the world. Choosing which way you want to take is up to your free will.

For instance, if you are told that your purpose is indeed to go to Africa to save the starving children, would you do it? Well, you’d better, right? And if you fail to do so, you live feeling bad, fearing the judgment? Do you really think the loving God, who is the very one who gave you free will, would do something like this?

So let go of the idea that there is a life purpose statement hidden somewhere in the sky. Also let go of the idea God is a mean superintendent tracking your progress against the life purpose plan. And while you are at it, let go of your friends in the spiritual circle who make you feel bad because you are not contributing enough money, time, etc for greater causes.

Instead open up and enjoy your life. Be yourself. Praise the miracle of life and create more miracles yourself.

afterlife
Death is supposed to be the source of biggest fear. What is death? What happens after we die? Is eternal life possible? If we are all destined to die, what is life about?

The time is ripe for this discussion as we, and the Earth, progress in light ascension. (Photo credit)

What is life?

To know death, we need to know life.

A few decades ago (I’m writing from my memory of advanced biology course I took at school, so please excuse the lack of details), scientists wanted to find out what makes a life form different from a non-life form. So they simplified and studied the single cell creatures. They identified only two factors that distinguish single cell life forms from mere bubbles.

1. Life forms have cell walls that differentiate the inside of their body from the outside fluid. Life forms “know” what is me and what is not. This makes it possible to take in outside stuffs as nutrition of the inside and excrete what is not necessary. (Biologist Dr Bruce Lipton maintains cell membrane is like the brain that plays central role to sustain us.)
2. Life forms have chromosomes that enable them to replicate, or reproduce, themselves.

So they made an artificial life form with cell wall and transplanted chromosome. That was easy with genetic technology. But the “life form” was not alive. They gave it electric shock, etc, but just couldn’t bring it to life.

Conclusion: There is something invisible that makes organisms alive. Let’s call it life force.

We now jump to a more complex life form, humans. I say “jump” because I think there is a bit of a discrepancy somewhere along the line of biological evolution. We, too, live on life force. But with humans, I recognize the driving power as our souls. Our souls direct the intake of the life force. Is a soul made of life force and the two really are one? I don’t know.

What we can learn from this experiment, however, is the idea that death is the end of everything doesn’t make sense. The idea that everything about you is over when your heart stops beating and your brain stops giving electric waves is limited to the physical, visible function of the body. There is invisible part about you, the life force and the soul (or whatever you want to call it).

What is death?

Now you know there are macrophysics and microphysics, and scientists are trying to come up with the Theory of Everything (TOE) that explains both. So I can explain the relationship of the soul (spirit) and the body in two ways.

On the macro level, we can observe the soul and the body as separate beings. A soul gets inside the body at the baby’s first breath of life and leaves the body at death (spare various cases of soul shifts). So on this level, death is about our soul leaving the body.

On the micro level, the soul and the body are one. The soul is energy, and it can take a dense form of body, which is also energy. Death, then, is the resolution of this dense energy body to another form of energy. Think of the transformation of ice - water - steam. They are all the same stuff, but they look different and act differently. None is better than the other. If the ice puts down the steam because the steam is invisible, it would be ridiculous. So physically incarnated souls are no better than spirits without the body after their “death”.

How these two views can be reconciled neatly, I don’t know at this time.

But in either case, I see the essence of me, the soul, doesn’t die. “I” can leave the vehicle I’ve been driving (macro level explanation) or I can dissolve / transform the body to some other form of being (micro level explanation).

What matters is if I do it consciously or not.

Conscious vs accidental transition

In conscious transition, the “I” knows what I am doing. Despite the appearance of “death,” my consciousness keeps on seamlessly to another form of being.

But if the transition happens without your awareness, it would feel accidental, and you may feel like a victim. While you are on this side. (I believe that once the transition happens, we all get to figure out we are “okay”.) (I’m using the word “accidental” meaning not fully consciously controlled. It doesn’t mean the death is caused by accidents.)

Just to be sure, by conscious transition, I don’t mean suicide. What I mean is the conscious opting out. The majority of death is accidental and not fully conscious no matter how old the person is or whatever the cause of death is.

What happens in afterlife?

As Akashic Record Reading specialist, I am the expert in beforelife. I can tell you about your past lives and the place we go in between physical incarnations. Again, this is the macro level explanation.

What happens after this life is an interesting question for all of us alive today ^_^. Do we repeat what we’ve been doing, that is, cross over to the other side, review our life, rest, and come back later? (If you are interested in more details of the process on the other side, please check Dr Michael Newton’s “The Journal of Souls”) Can we choose not to incarnate any more? If so, are there any requirements, like a certain level of “enlightenment” or vibrational rate?

Our souls can keep going beyond physical deaths. But is physical immortality possible? If it’s possible, is it something you want?

How do you want it?

I’m opening up the discussion here because I think this is up to our free will. Let me sum up the possible options:

1. To die (most likely accidentally) and reincarnate, like we’ve been doing for eons of time
If you choose this option, why? Are there something you want to keep doing in the next life? Is this present life not long enough to do it? Are you postponing something? Or is it about helping others in this world and you can best do it as incarnated being?

2. To die (most likely accidentally) and not incarnate again
Again, why? Is your choice based on hate of this life and the world? Or is it simply because you’ve had plenty and even the good stuff is enough after certain time?

3. To consciously transition or transform your physical body to some other form of being
One of the other form of being is called lightbody. This is what I aspire to do. If you are into continuity, one thing we want to check is we are not choosing this out of fear of death.

4. To keep going in the same physical body
I guess this is what Robin at Let’s Live Forever! stands for. The physical body is just a form of energy, so rather than transforming it to another way of being, keep healing and mending it forever. If it involves temporary death, this may mean resurrection.

5. (Well, as I wrote, I don’t support this view, but if you still like it) To die is to die, the end, period. Death means end and there is nothing after that. Because this view doesn’t acknowledge the invisible being (soul), the death must be accidental.

6. To die  and go to heaven. Or hell. Depending on the judgement.  I don’t get this idea because God is love and we are God, so why do we judge ourselves to reward or to punish?

7. We lose our individuality at the transition and merge with God.  I guess this can happen both with conscious transition and accidental one.  It’s based on a different level of . . . well, what shall I call it . . . model.

Are there other options?

gratitude
Well, August is not quite over yet, but I’m posting this monthly gratitude review a little early for a few reasons. For one, I’m moving next week. (More about this when I actually get there.) And also, I had the honor of being interviewed by Evita and I want to share this news sooner. And oh, I just got a prize!

August in Review

This month was about letting go of things that use to work but not any more, putting closures, and transitioning to something new and unknown. I just sold my computer desk (you know, the huge desk we used when the desktop computer and tube monitor were so bulky and heavy). I’m going through my stuffs and dumping / donating / selling so many books, clothes, what not. I want to simplify my life. I did a major purging only a year ago, but I’m going further this time.

I think it’s critical to do this cleansing with gratitude. I’m not letting go of these stuffs because I hate them. I’m grateful for them — we spent many happy hours together. Thank you. Hope the next owner love them, too.

Fun

So, the interview. I love interviews because they give me opportunities to examine my life and business from fresh perspective. And Evita asked great questions! Do head over to check it out. Thank you, Evita!

And I won a prize at Kim & Jason. Kim & Jason has a cute blog and they publish great video clips regularly. What a surprise it was to watch them pronounce my name (yes, Kim, you pronounced it right ^_^) in the video! I’d like to think this is a wonderful sign for my relocation. Thank you!

Challenges

Like, accepting changes? Not that I don’t like changes or I don’t like the specific change I’m facing. On the contrary, I think this move will be fantastic. It’s just this is exactly the kind of situation when my Mission Realmer underlay comes out to play. This new town seems just so . . . different. From any towns I’ve ever lived (in Japan, Australia, and the US). It’s so small and maddeningly peaceful. I . . . I . . . ‘m just not used to this . . . aaaaagh.

(Don’t worry, I will get through this.)

Where in the blogosphere Akemi has been

One of my core message is “You are creating your own life and the world.” You are not a slave nor an order taker. There is no God who wrote your missions on a stone and has been watching your progress, who will judge you and punish you if you fail to live up to his demands. You are God.

But what does it really mean in our day-to-day life? Well, check out this post by Steve, aka brip blap. If you don’t like something in your life, you can change it. Against odds.

And how about eternal life as the ultimate creation? Here is an intriguing post at Oprah’s website (HT: Robin at Let’s Live Forever!). My understanding is, if someone is traveling freely in the higher dimensions, that is not the same physical body as we have known, but it’s lightbody. So physical immortality is about developing lightbody instead of dying.

The idea of immortality may seem far-stretched, but do check it out. The author of the post, Dr Janni Lloyd, is very knowledgeable and I like what she has to say.

The web is full of wisdom. Thank you.

A year ago at Yes to Me

What’s the best thing that can happen?” Thank you, that’s what I myself need to hear.

Word of month

Open to the state of grace — using the energies of praise, love and gratitude for EVERYTHING in your life will move you from the law of karma to the law of grace. — from Janni’s post on Oprah.com.

Take care, everyone, enjoy today!
