Occasionally, when the going gets tough, the tough ... go out of town, for the summer, a roadtrip, a semester abroad, a honeymoon, or, you know, just because. Two of my very favorite (and rarely seen) characters on VM consist of the strapping men that make up the Clemmons family. Butters Vincent is quirky, yet lovable (Space elevator, anyone?), and his father, the illustrious vice principal at Neptune High, is even a match for Miss Mars. Due to poor planning on my part, I did not pay close attention to the correlation between this week's planned theme (Cassidy fic, which was selected some weeks ago) and the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech. Our hearts go out to all affected, and it was not our intent to trivialize their loss.
