Of that, 2.7 million were on Blu-ray, shattering the record that previous best-seller "The Dark Knight" had reached. That pic took 18 months to sell 2.5 million Blu-rays."

PSUni: Worldwide sales of the PlayStation 3 have been heating up since the release of the PS3 Slim. Sony basically leaked the redesign and its price cut with their projection of 13 million PS3 sales worldwide by the end of their 2009 fiscal year. That target is likely to be exceeded, but with the results we have so far, things are definitely looking up for the console.
