Ok, we'll be trying something different for our Man of the Month this time. I don't have anything prepared with any single individual -- I was thinking of having Arap Bethke as our MtoM, but I found out I don't have enough new fotos of him for that; instead, he'll be our Man of the Fortnight sometime later -- but I do have several posts in various stages of preparation that happen to feature men from Israel. So, for February, 2009, our Men of the Month will fall under the category of Hunks of Israel. All month long, we'll catch up on old friends and discover some new ones. Here are the relevant (i.e., shirtless or in his underwear) scenes featuring Luis Fernández from episodes #2-4 of the new Spanish series "Los Protegidos". To explain the odder parts of these scenes: The character he plays, Culebra, has the power to turn invisible. In fact, all the youngsters living in the house (I don't think they're all related) have one superpower or another -- the little boy has telekinesis, the older boy can change his shape, the older girl shoots off electricity, etc. Cool, how about a crossover featuring Los Protegidos vs. The Incredibles?

Another look at Israeli model Roei Klein (רועי קליין), here עולה כמו וונוס מן הים -- which is to say, rising like Venus from the sea. If I'm understanding this page correctly, he has a role in the TV series "האלופה" ("Champions"), which stars Yehuda Levi and Ofer Shechter.

Shay Kahana (שי כהנא) -- a model from Israel whom we posted about before, though we spelled his name Shai Khana back then -- won the Israeli version of "The Amazing Race" (המירוץ למיליון). Originally from Betzet, he lives in Tel Aviv and is 32 years old. He has a black belt in karate and worked as the bodyguard for three prime ministers. He has a degree in Government Diplomacy and Strategy. He's currently featured on the web site of the clothing manufacturer Renaur.

Finishing up, slightly late, with January's Man of the Month, Argentinian actor and model Rodrigo Guirao Díaz. Now to go and prepare this month's MotM -- and he'll probably be as much of a surprise to me as he will be to you, seeing as how I haven't picked him out yet...

Our Man of (Last) Month, Rodrigo Guirao Díaz in his breakthrough role as Juan, el jardinero in "Amas de casa desesperadas", the Argentinean version of "Desperate Housewives" -- yes, the Jesse Metcalfe role.

Spanish actor Luis Fernández, the hot new thing from "Los Protegidos", sin camiseta, semidesnudo, and all those other wonderful words. A few more facts about have come to light since I last posted about him: He's 25 years old, and he's a singer as well as an actor.

You might remember Venezuelan actor Carlos Augusto Maldonado as Rafa in the Victor Noriega telenovela "Ángel rebelde". He recently appeared as the gang member El Ronco in "Más Sabe el Diablo" (with Jencarlos Canela as the ringleader, and Carlos Ferro as another member, that had to be the prettiest gang in existence...).

We're due for a new batch of snow tonight where I live, so these nice-sized images of Brazilian actor Thiago Lacerda frolicking at the beach in Carioca are just what I need to warm myself up in advance. Images are from Estrelando, which, incidentally, has a new URL. Thiago Lacerda was born on January 19, 1978 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is currently starring in the telenovela "Viver a Vida".

Carlos Ponce was a "Top Trainer" for a recent issue of Sobefit magazine. I've got to admit I preferred him before he bulked up so much, but he's eminently still drool-worthy.

How do I get in on this action? I'm not sure what's going on with Carlos Ponce in these pictures, but it sure makes me want to check out his new telenovela, "Perro Amor". Oh, wait, I don't have Telemundo.
