It is with great remorse to announce the demise of Uncle Neptune. A tribute site will be developed hopefully by fall with a complete list of recordings and a short bio posted so that future generations may continue to enjoy his musical output . www.uncleneptune.com will be disabled due to costs. I know if he was here, he would like to thank his fans and everyones kind support, it meant everything to him. This will be the last post for this blog.

Last night was the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship with the arrival of my brand new Bushman Jenny concert uke. I own many ukes from vintage Martin to the new Johnson dobro uke and I tell you this, all of them put together don't equal the utter euphoria I experienced with this amazing uke. I had surfed the net for months reading all the hype that surrounds this uke, it's like no-one had anything but rave reviews for it. It's tonal qualities rank the top ten (in my opinion) in a list that has $10,000 Martins for an instruments that only retails at $199.99. I am not one to fall for the hype, but I tell you this, if you're on the market for high end quality at what to me is incredibly low priced considering, BUY THIS UKE! I honestly think that it is the future collectible. After playing it, I thought to myself, why would I ever play anything else. It is THAT good!
P.S. I also bought the Bushman tweed case for $99.99 and it is sharp!

Here are some scores for songs I have written but more imporatantly there are examples of songs included that I wrote in vain as an homage to my songwriting god, Stephen Collins Foster. There are no words for me to explain the incredible awe-inspiring beauty and gift that this man had and he truly has never had an equal. His treatment of melody was akin to Mozart and is sadly remembered for his more crude works. If there was any one person I would ever want to emulate, it is him. The genius of his gift has on many occasions almost made me give up writing all-together for no song will ever raise above the standard at which this man created. I hope I have the opportunity to meet Foster in the next life because I have found so much of myself in this man.
